On tap. Pale gold appearance some white head. Taste did not live up to the promise of the aroma. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Bottle at home, 21/07/16. Brought back from Vienna by my parents. Sweet an hazy aroma - grass, floral, perhaps honey? Extremely pale gold. Fizzy. Unipressive white head - an archipeligo! First impression on drinking it is how pleasant it is on the palate - smooth and soft - frothy carbonation. Initially notived the sweetness but the slightly bitter edge gradually took prominence. Grapefruit with a that honey aroma coming through. Not normally the biggest fan of a Pils, but this I really enjoyed.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a flute. The color is odd. A very pale yellow with almost a greenish tint to it. Only a small white head even though it was poured at a 90 degree angle. What head there is dissipates quickly and nicely laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and bready. Nice, sharp carbonation. Medium body, crisp and dry with a bitter finish. On the one hand it’s nothing special. But on the other, it’s definitely refreshing easily drinkable.

Bottle has some nice white head, smell of fresh grain and saaz hops, super crisp with a lively feel to it. A solid pils

50cl on tap at himmelblau, Wien. Clear pale golden to yellow, with a tall, white head. Mild grainy flavours with light grassy and herbal notes. Quite decent classic German type pilsner. Moderate sweet with rather mild flavours and a fine bitterness. Fairly enjoyable.

Bottle from Interspar, Feldkirch. Aroma is grainy malt, hay. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Body is light to medium. Slightly skunky, boring German Pilsener.

Draft at SFO, 3/21/16. Clear yellowish pour with a white head. Crisp, clean aroma of grass, pale malt / bread, and a pepper. Solid overall flavor profile as well. Somewhat over carbonated, but otherwise a pretty crisp mouthfeel. Solid and drinkable.

Aroma has low herbal hops and low grainy pils malt. No esters, DMS or diacetyl. Taste of hops is low, malt is unidimensional pils flavor. A bit stale. Palate is s bit thin. Very drinkable pils

Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes. Hops resin, floral, grass, spruce, citrus, herbs Good pils, not too skunky, a little note of hops
