Otherwise straw-gold with light fading foam. Aroma plainly light-struck, with a hint of grassy hops. Mercaptans come through less in the flavor, which is bordering between swill and authentic pilsner. The balance is riding on the lightness of the palate and lack of malts, which is severe, and the appropriate hopping which is grassy with a semi-pleasant bitter finish. If you can get this non-lightstruck, it makes a halfway decent lawnmower beer. Otherwise forget it. wilkie (1193), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 17, 2005 Draught. Large, white head. Pale, golden with lots of carbonation. Light malt in aroma. Flavor is smooth but not memorable. Slithly bitter in end, but otherwise tasteless. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England

Vary pale straw colour - a bit anaemic looking. Faint aroma of grassy hop, with a touch of sulphur. Lean mouthfeel, with limited flavour. Some light, late hops. Not much to latch on to here.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 10, 2007 (this is from my notes as I drank this at a basketball game.) This beer pours a golden yellow with a good medioum white head leaving some good lacing down the sides. Aroma is light with hops that seem a little astringent. The flavor is not what I expect from a pilsner. But to me it wasn’t horrible. This is better than the plain domestics but really lacking for a pilsner. Cheers! Smell is of some yeast, and a light metallic smell probably from the head. Carbonation is right on, and very crisp. Taste is of malt, light yeasty, doughiness, and a touch of bitterness and ashiness almost, to finish. Drinkable, but too doughy and yeasty for my taste and not very refreshing as a result. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA
