Pours a brilliantly clear straw-gold color with a pale off white head that is held up by a moderate, persistent carbonation. The aroma is clean and spicy with a light herbal note that is all quite appetizing. The beer is smooth and clean as it first hits my mouth. It is fairly dry with a light toasted malt note, though the hops definitely are the major flavor contributor. The beer is quite floral and spicy. This is definitely a nice example of a dry German Pils, though it has a bit more fresh hop flavor than usual, which is just fine in my book. This is light, easy drinking, and full of bright refreshing hop flavors.

A not quite into medium bodied pils that has a subtle, refined, fresh floral hop aroma and taste, along with the quality European type malt it is a good brew. A very mild sweetness, with a touch of tart and crisp.
I like a decent pils and this one is into the do again circle for me. igel (196), New Mexico, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Appearance is a straw color with limited carbonation, a frothy white head that diminishes quickly, and leaves a light film and a bubbly sticky lace. Initial aroma is crisp and grassy. Gradually a malt presence is obvious with a background of hops. Palate is light, filmy and slightly creamy with low effervescence and a light bite at the finish. The flavor has a fair balance of hops and sweetness.
Lighter, sweeter and less crisp than many pilsners. Uncomplicated.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2006 A tremendous white head fills my footed pilsner glass and settles slow and rocky to form a scummy film over a pale yellow body frought with effervescence. Green-bottle skunkiness makes a bad first impression. Additional grasses and oregano chime in later with light, sweet floral notes. A thickness of body surprises me given its color, maintaining a solid presence before finishing crisp. Flavor finds bitter hopping atop light malt sweetness, finishing bitter but lingering sour. I bought Trumer after a friend of mine at work showed me a wire story about this beer winning gold at the ’06 World Beer Cup. I agree that it is a very good pils which is undoubtedly much better on draught.

Nose was crisp and clean with sweet pils malts, a touch of cereal, and grassy, herbal, and floral hoppage. Flavor found just about the same stuff.. add a touch of honey sweetness. Malts were smooth across the middle, bitterness was well-placed, and the finish was crisp and refreshing. I enjoyed it... sounds like this one holds up much better on draught. With it being higher priced than most of the beers in this group, I wanted to see why it was more expensive. Luckily, I found a place where I could just buy a single bottle. Aroma is grassy, slightly skunky and malty. Appearance is a light yellow color, great carbonation and nice lacing. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Flavors are also grassy, very minimally bitter, slightly malty. Overall a good, refreshing summertime beer. If it weren’t so overpriced, I’d probably buy more! troopie (915), USA

Light malty body with a not unpleasant astringent finish. This is not really full nor bitter enough for a pilsener, but is a worthy helles. It’s low enow in alcohol to be a good session or after work bier.
