O.K., so itís overpriced and being pushed as an import in a green bottle with German writing and very little reference to CA. Even to the point that retailers put it in the import section. But the good news is ... this is an outstanding European Pilsener! Wonderful appearance with tight carbonation and great foam characteristics. Nice bouquet of hops and malt without the typical US-micro characteristics. Ample bitterness and crisp clean finish. Better than the American competition, at the top of European Pilseners. A real treat which deserves great recognition. Donít believe me? Get on an airplane to Germany and try all the thin, highly attenuated, lackluster Pils beers. Herr Braumeister, Sie haben mit diesem Pilsener Spitzenarbeit geleistet, und ich mŲchte mich bei Ihnen bedanken, daŖ ein solches Bier nun auch in Amerika gebraut wird!

From a bottle. Pours a clear gold, thin white head, pleasant malty aroma, smooth like a good pilsner. I liked it more than I thought I would.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grain mostly on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty clean.

Trumer Pils finds itself in that not-so-selective category of "Not bad but hardly great." On the downside, the colorís a bit too light and the carbonationís a bit too strong. The nose is weak and the flavor is hardly special though fairly enjoyable. On the upside, Trumer is fairly satisfying with its crisp hop character and smooth malts. While itís far from being a special or memorable beer, this pils will do the trick when better options are absent.

An ok pils. Lots of straw, heavily carbonated, and exceedingly dry. Not much in the way of a defining flavor or aroma, however.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2014 Mild honeysuckle notes on the early part. Standard lager bite and finish. A touch of sweetness on the tail end, but not overwhelming. Good for sessions.

Fra fat pŚ k.u.k. Hofwirt i Bad Ischel 7 Mai 14. Veldig lys gylden. Lavt luftig skum med litt lacing. Forsiktig maltaroma. Smaken er tÝrr. Klart maltpreg med en undertone av humle. Litt sÝt.

medium to pale yellow with a frothy, lacy, diminishing head. Smells of grain, malt, vegetable and light hops. Medium oily body with medium carbonation. Tastes of sweet malt, with cardboard and a strong hoppy bitterness finishes it all off. Whatever itís a pils
