3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pitch black with a foamy khaki head, giving off a wonderful aroma of coffee, licorice, bakers cocoa, and nice gentle roastiness. Smooth mouthfeel with a nice full roasty body, but ventures slightly into the syrupy acidic palate wrecking qualities of higher alc beers. Flavor is deep and roasty with dark bakers cocoa, a slight touch of molasses, a little burnt coffee, and gentle smoke. Itís good, just a bit acidic and burnt-tasting.
