3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Muggled dark roasted malts and smooth sweetness, dark amber with a greyish thumb of a head. Firm brown sugar initial taste is caught up with a tangy malt mid-range. Slight figgy notes with the dry linger, similar biscuity aspect to the golden version but gives much more of a baseline for the palate on your next pull.
An unsuprisingly solid effort here, matches up well with itís lighter sister, but stops well short of robbing your tastebuds. A mild on all counts. Like any of Trystís gear itís a safe hunting ground without being remarkable.

Almost black pour with a big fluffy off-white head. Plenty of lacing. Notes of chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, and raisins. Taste is the same with more toward the chocolate spectrum followed up quickly with some notes of licorice. Nice smoothness in the finish. Very good.
