Apr 17, 2008 500ml Bottle Conditioned. Ruby brown colour and no real head. Faint chocolate malt aroma. Light and watery in the mouth. Hints of chocolate malt and, strangely, plastic wrapping. These are quickly replaced by roasted malt, root vegetable and a earthy bitterness. Slightly sweet finish but with quite a strong roasted bitterness. The mouth’s left buzzing suggesting more alcohol than 3.8%.

Nov 23, 2007 Dark chestnut, hardly any head. Slightly funky orange spiced maltiness, bulked up somewhat. Mouth is fresh and grassy malt. Some meatiness and body there, bit inoffensive and straightforward, but jolly nice.

Dark brown, little head. Quite hoppy for a mild, sweet spicy hops augment the sweet roasted malts ion both the aroma and the taste. Hints of dark fruits too. Competent mild, very tasty.
