Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, pale golden beer with a minimal sized white head. Quite citrusy nose with a touch of pale malts and generic fruityness. Mostly citrus peel though. The flavor too is of the citrusy kind, leaving not much room for anything else. Medium body, quite dry. A quite decent one, drinking very easily, but a bit boring. 110819

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2011 On cask at Cloisters. A pale straw colour with a thin white head. Quite sweet nose with yeast and caramel malt. Caramel, malty flavours also with some yeast. Subtle spicy hops that linger nicely. A nice beer but I prefer Tryst’s hoppier offerings. Dry hopped at the Stockbridge Tap Beer Festival, 2011. Aroma had a little pine which worked well.

Cask handpull, The Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield. Still orange-gold, slim white top. Lace freckles. Nice picture of a badger on the pump. Lime juice, dishcloth and mango aroma. Bright and dank with good resinous citrus, strange mango-mushroom earthiness. Total change of gear; might have slated it if I hadn’t had a mango yesterday. The line is that fine sometimes. Possibly in the top 10 beers of the day- that good.
