50 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is peachy, grapefruity. Bitter, citrusy, grapefruity to peachy. Smooth fruity into a crisp hoppy finish.

Cask at the southern. Pours pale amber with good white head. Big aromas for a cask beer, all citrus and tropical fruit. Taste bring some biscuit malt balance. Finishes a bit thin.

Shared with Northropfrye. Perhaps a little too on the one-dimensionally bitter side for me, but still a decent beer.

Cask conditioned handpump Market Porter London 08/07/13. A darker gold coloured beer with a white head and lace. A big fruity hoppy beer. The aroma has good peachy notes. It’s not as good in the mouth where inspite of the obvious hops, the malts give a little too much sweetness. It’s all pretty decent but doesn’t really deliver the promise of the nose.

Bottle at home. Vivid golden orange pour, thick foamy head. Nice bubbly orange peel, sherbet and a touch of warm biscuit on the nose. Dry, pithy orange peel, touch of grapefruit, really quite bitter, slightly herbal, long puckering lemon bitter finish. Very hoppy indeed, but very good.

Cask at Blackfriars, Glasgow. Amber colour, hoppy aroma, nice bitter aftertaste, soft palate. Not bad, nor am I sure why it’s classified as "golden ale" rather than IPA.

Cask-conditioned at the Bow Bar, Edinburgh 21/6/2013. Golden with a decent, off-whit head. Citrus fruits, solid, biscuity malts and a dryish, citrus finish. Good.

[cask, the Hanging Bat, Edinburgh] Very slightly hazy amber beer, with a decent white head. Aroma is grapefruit citrus, some tropical fruit – but mostly pithy bitter numbers. On the taste, grassy at first, but builds to that trademark Tryst bitter lemon/lime finish. Good stuff at first, further on down, become a touch astringent. Nice, though [19062013]

cask at cloisters ... golden amber ... thin white head ... soft dry sherbert orange nose ... soft sherbert front ... zezty orange ... light bitter orange peel
