Keg at Glasgow Real Ale Festival. Aroma is strong coffee, well matched by the taste. Slightly watery, and taste quickly fades, which is disappointing

On tap at the Southern. Appearance - opaque black with a decent head. Nose - rich dark chocolate. Cream. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall - itís good but it lacks individual personality.

Had a pint of this from the Golden Rule in Polwarth, Edinburgh last Friday. One of the best beers Iíve tasted.

Bottle from Royal Mile Whiskies. This very dark brown beer pours with a huge foamy head. It has chocolate and red fruity flavours more chocolate and slight sour deuit and liquorice on the finish.

At Fat Cat. Brown coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation. Chocolate malty aroma. Wattery palate. Finish is coffee like roasted bitter with some chocolate hints.

Cask. Bitter chocolate aroma. Flavour is sweeter than the aroma indicates and is not shy on the chocolate front. The initial sweetness is balanced nicely with a light bitter finish. Delicious.

Poured a reddish amber with a frothy tan head. Aroma of roast malt and dark, bitter chocolate. Smooth, watery body, flavour of milk chocolate and roast malt with a bitter/sweet finish. A bit unbalanced.

Hand pump @ The Fat Cat, Sheffield. Black coloured beer with a small off white head. Strong chocolat sweeter malty hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is sweet bitter malty short almost veggy chocolat malty. Rather strange porter but enjoyable all together.
