Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light malt extract. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malty, caramel, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20110819]

Cask at Bishops Stortford Beer Festival 2010. A hazy black beer with a brown shine under a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, grass, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, grassy hops, and spices, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is light.

From cask at Blackfriars. Pours clear and golden deep amber to mahoghoni brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, light caramelish to light cinnamon spiced. Toasted malty, bitter, caramelish dry to breadish. Roasted malty lingering finish.

Botella. Unclear deep amber colour. Pleasnat fruity caramel toasty malty aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Fruity toasty malty flavour, some citrus too. Nice.
