Cask. Light yellow with a fluffy white head. Big Nelson Sauvin in the flavour and aroma. Pine and grapefruit with a light fruitiness with really dry finish. Another quality beer in the Hop Trial range.

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. It pours straw yellow, with a gigantic white head. The nose is grapefruit, gooseberry, white grape, zesty and some underlying sweetness. The taste is zesty lemon, gooseberry, white grape, grapefruit, hay, straw and floral with a long bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome and well balanced. A very good golden ale.

Bottle.5% not 3.9 though. Tasted ages ago but never rated it due to confusion. Yellow with white head. Lovely Nelson nose. Grapefruit, tropical fruit and a thin caramel veneer. Very nice. I like this range.

From bottle. Pours misty golden with well held white head. Nice spicy grapefruit aroma with mandarin. Similar tastes. The Nelson sauvin hops take front and center with little malt or yeast contribution. My only gripenis that is it quite thin. Enjoyed thoroughy

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2011 On cask at The Bow Bar. Pours a blonde colour with a thick white head. Aroma and flavours showcase the Nelson Sauvin hop. Pine, passion fruit and grapefruit. Some caramel malt also with moderate carbonation and a nice dry finish. Also, bottle at home from Drink Monger. Aroma of passion fruit and grapefruit. Beautiful juicy Nelson Sauvin hop flavour, grassy and fruity with a resinous mouth-feel. Moderate carbonation and just a little sweet. I really like this.

Pours a slightly cloudy gold, with a thin white head. As advertised, the aromas are gooseberry blended with lots of citrus. Really big, sharp citrus flavour. Really enjoyed this one.
