Crisp, golden coloured body with a very thin just off-white head. Aroma of sour grapes, light malt, hay, grass and a touch of sweetness. Light to Medium-bodied; Very tart like flavour at first, similar to a gose with some sour qualities and a nice sweet finish. Aftertaste shows a lot of complexity ranging from some subtle malts to hay/grass/herbs and finishing with a touch of sweetness and the aforementioned sour qualities - very nice. Overall, a surprisingly good beer, especially one to sample after all these years before heading back to Europe en route to Africa. This one was much better than I expected and definitely worth picking up if they still make this and you can still find it! I sampled this 50 cL swing-top bottle purchased from Drinks of the World in Zurich, Suisse on 14-November-2009 sampled at home in Washington a few hours before leaving for Munich en route to Cape Town on 09-August-2015. Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of grain and citrus. Fresh taste of grain, mild tart and some nice salt. Almost like a gose landbier. Very drinkable and nice.

Swing top bottle from Allen, thanks! Blonde, hazy. Malty aroma with flowery hops and just a hint of citrus. Malty citric flavor with a hint of flowery hopbitterness. Good balance, some cookie sweetness. Good landbier.

(33cl swing top bottle) Hazy, orange colour with a short foamy white head. Sweet and minimal yeasty bready malty aroma with traces of citrus and flowery hops. Light-bitter flavour, yeasty (cara-)malty and biscuity to bready taste, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented sweet and slightly bitter finish with hoppy and yeasty spice. Pleasant Zwickel (06.VIII.09).

Sample at Eurostash III tasting on 01/12/2012: Bottle from Drinks of the World. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium foamy white head that evaporates slowly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of bready malt and yeast. Light body with flavors of cereal malt, caramel and mildly spiced yeast. The finish is sweet with a fruit and grain aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Malt aroma of hay, sour citrus scents. Pours hazy light gold with a big tight white head. Nice sour Pilsner notes, subtle and balanced. Fizzy carbonation. Refreshing and nice. Short slightly sweet finish. I like it.
