2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle 480ml with label "Super Premium" 5į.
A very sweet beer with malty notes, not as bad but less hops aroma and just in the average.

It was a Tsingtao. Yeah, it has a different name in China and the label is a little classier. But hard to notice a difference. It is, really, just a pale lager from a mass market manufacturer / brewer. Not up to Michelob standards. Available free at the Club Floor lounge at my hotel in Shanghai. Had a couple. After that decided I would rather pay for better beer and stopped drinking these. Innocuous fizzy pale water.

Found in Paris. (Yes, Paris). Pours with almost no head, yellow colour. Smells of wet boot leather and alcohol, corn and rice. Taste is dry bread and grains. Some hints at a bread taste. Dry finish. Dull and unappealing.

(296 ml clear bottle from a supermarket in HK) slight, quickly disappearing skunky nose, pale yellow colour, light yeasty / rice flavour, long mildly bitter finish

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Compared to the others Iíve had so far, this is far superior! And itís cheaper too. Somebody out to talk to management about this. At least it did have some body, beer flavor, color and head. Too much adjunct. Itíll work. No bad characterisics, not too many good ones either.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottled, 330ml, pasteurised, brought back from Hong Kong by my sons girlfriend (thank you Lucy). Yellow beer with big fizzed head. Grainy, corn nose, heavy carbonation, the flavour is of rice until a lemony note takes over. Thin and grassy throughout. Just drinkable.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Iím assuming this is the correct beer as my notes only say Tsingtao and 4.5% alcohol, but not "Premium"...anyway, this is pale gold, with only a VERY thin white head. Light grainy nose, and not much more. Palate is,again, light, grassy and quenching, but lacks body & character...but Iíve had a lot worse!

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
proposed in a clear bottle, this is not a good omen ... I just hope this will be drinkable; it pours a very clear and pale yellow colour under a rare and unregular foam; the nose is a bit oily with hints of hops and plastic; decent malt body, very low bitterness but a tart dry finish makes it just acceptable
