COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Chineese Light. This has a nice aroma that comes off much stronger than its taste. This is quite light and crisp.

640ml bottle at 4.7%. Pours a lively gold with a medium head. Aroma is sweet hops and corn. Taste has corn throughout with a sweet finish.

64 cl. bottle at a Chinese restaurant in Stockholm. Clear, golden colour with a thin white head that quickly faded. Aroma is very skunky with some sweet malts and hop notes. Very light bitter taste, light body. Somewhat skunky aftertaste. Not exactly memorable, but OK considering the style and descent.

Weak thin and watery, but at least you can detect some grassy hops in there. Clean and golden with no head or lacing, Tsingtao neverless quenches and is a fine pairing for spicy Asian cuisine.

1/10 i mörkhet. Luktar väldigt lite, äventuellt lite fruktigt. Vattning med en lätt fruktig smak med en lätt besk eftersmak.

Bottle. A cheap skunky clear and golden beer with nothing really going on for it.
