2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle (355ml) Had this with dim sum at the Pearl restaurant at Harbourfront, Toronto. Pours a clear sparkling light yellow with an average, quick diminishing white head. Aroma is quite light, mild grain (corn & wheat) and slight hops, mildly sweet but not oppressively so. Taste follows the aroma - very light and cabronated mouthfeel, quite good with spicy food but I wouldn’t have it on its own.

Bottle, 33cl. Not much to say about this one.... Pours a pale yellow liquid with a small white head, almost without aroma. Watery flavour with hints of something like hops. Very refreshing and decent enough to go with a dim-sum or sweet and sour pork! But if you are loking for a real beer.... try something else.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Golden colour with a small white head. Malty aroma with a cereal note and a light sweetness. Watery taste with some malts and a faint bitterness in the finish.

Your basic light with some malt and hops to it but nothing else. Decent on a hot summer day with some sweet and sour chicken.

Bottle. Well i’m sitting there at my table at the chinese restaurant having already decided I was only going to have water with dinner when I saw the little Tsingtao ad placed at my table. I figured what the heck, I’ll give it a try. I was not expecting much and it pretty much delivered. Very bland in color, aroma, and flavor. Nothing to write home about, but I can see myself ordering another one with my chow mein and egg rolls next time as well.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very pale yellow hue, shy foamy head, skunky smell at the opening of the bottle, pale malt, mild floral accent, maybe hint of vanilla in the nose, follows through on a light-medium bodied palate, with crisp pale malt, touch of soft maltiness, in very light hoppy finish.

Bottle at Chan’s. And you know what they say...when in rome...Pale yellow, white head that fades. Frat house beer aroma with a cooked corn DMS note. Thin and lifeless pale malts with little hops. Distinct note of Formaldehyde. ;-)

If they don’t have water, ask for this. It’s about the same thing. It’s the same color yellow as the Oregon Ducks jerseys, it has a big fizzy head, and it’s so carbonated that it makes me think of the prank from Animal House where they fill the swimming pool with fizzies.

1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale yellow, quickly deminishing head, no lace. No aroma. Neutral palate. "Refreshing" only in a macro-brewed pale lager sense. Absolutely nothing unique here.
