COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Drinkable beer but kind of boring and very light. It is very thirst quenching and hey, it’s NOT a Bud and doesn’t leave a nasty aftertaste. Very crisp and refreshing.

Tried at O.C. Not impressed at all. Right up there with Sapporo and Kirin Ichiban. If you like Bud, this beers for you!

Why is it that un-/under- developed countries produce bad beer? Is it a requirement? Pours yellow - big shock there. Smells slightly skunked but otherwise sweet with notes of corn - another surprise. Taste is not too awful. Again sweet, and a bit crisp. Mild hops. Better than most of them. Finish is slightly bittersweet. Not the worst but it continues a bad trend.

ok, here we go. I drank this beer for one simple reason last year. It apparently was "the year of the ram" in Chinese mythology, and the greatest football team in the league is the St. Louis Rams... this was the only reason I drank the beer. Overall this beer is very simple.

Pretty much a typical light lager, crisp and clean with a medium hoppy bite. Went well with my General Tso’s chicken.

Clear golden blond beer with a small head. The aroma is light sweet and hoppy. The taste is rather standard lager. The bitterness is light.

Eructoblaster (3286) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 17, 2004
Highly carbonated yellow body topped with a thick but quick fading head. Due to the green bottle, the beer exhales a skunky aroma in the first stage. Then comes a weak malty perfume. Taste is watery and lightly bitter. Palate is close to none. I am not disappointed because I wasn’t expecting more than a cheap macro lager.

This has got to be one of the worst beers i ever had to suffer.Even with a chinese meal it´s so f***ing bland and boring. If this is made from spring water then the chinese authority have a serious problem with water polution.
