COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2011 640ml bottle from Tesco Extra. Rice & resin aroma. (fond memories of China) Very pale yellow colour, not much head. Resin rice & corn flavour. Watery but sharp lager. Great for washing down oriental food. Not a beer to savour.

We oz bottle pour. Thin pale gold with pure white head. Says lager, smells of pilsner. Taste is thin with a little bitter on the end and some sweetness in the middle that tastes fruity. Really did remind me of a pilsner.

330 ML bottle in Germany, Beer was beeter than expected. Light golden color with laced head. Aroma was very nice and fruity. Taste was the same. Palate was disapointing and very short. Beer has a very watery palate and teaste after the initial burst of fruit.

Unoffensive and unimpressive. Very pale body with virtually no head. The aroma is light and sweet with a touch of apple. Thin palate with light carbonation. The flavor is smooth but bland. Light and moderately sweet. No bitterness to speak of. Meh.

(330ml bottle) very pale yellow with oily white head so afraid of the beer it runs away quickly. Nose of apple and that’s it. Is this a cider? Taste of cereal grains, butter, light apple and old. Nothing Terribly offensive and nothing good. Light body but not too watery with decent carbonation. Not terrible for a pale lager but not good at all.

A- typical golden body with no head macro appearance. The golden is a nice color. S- this is the worst smell I have ever experienced in my life for a beer. skunky and revolting. I still ventured to take a sip. T- not nearly as bad as it smells. pretty boring with somewhat of a bitter hop bite. O- easy to drink but the smell makes you not want to drink it. Bottle 330ml. Pours a pale golden color with small white head. Low to medium carbonation. Tastes malty, some citrus, grass and a hint of honey. Very (too?) watery in my opinion. Nothing special, but no unpleasant aftertaste either. Not impressive at all.
