Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesnít match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Not the worst tasting lager out there that Iíve had but still not a good lager. Why canít all lager take a leaf out of brands like Sierra Nevada and use more hops for some flavour?

Tinny, even from the bottle. Not a big fan. Won?t buy again. Much better big brand lagers out there. 5.5/10.

Bottle from SB. Pours no head. Looks very pale. Smells like old beer cans which are about to be recycled. Tastes almost nothing, a hint of chemicals and metal.

The beer has a normal pilsner appearance. Very clear and light golden yellow. When pouring the beer, there is formation of a lot of rough white foam. The foam disappears within seconds and doesnít leave a trace. The beer has a refreshing sweet aroma. There is a alcohol sweetness and a bitter aroma. The taste is bice. The beer sure has a hoppy bitterness, which is nice. Very nice beer, nice to drink away.

A very light beer, cerveza style. Dry and crisp lager with a clean finish. Very little hop flavor and no malt.

330 ml bottle in Singapore. Not to bad, taste was a little metallic but crisp and dry. Thin white head quickly disappeared. Grassy aroma.

This beer tastes quite different if it comes in a bottle or in a can. The bottle isnít too bad, pours golden, typical Chinese beer corn/rice taste. Good to down Chinese food. The can is just unbearable, very tinny.

Fairly boring beer, nothing too wrong with it. Slight grainy taste, sweet, not much hoppiness. Clean aftertaste, light body, good with spicy food.
