Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesnít match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 0.33ml bottle poured in a chalice. Well, this is what I call "almost beer". Itís summer time, itís hot, we need a refreshing beer and so on, however, this "beer" smell and tastes rice. I admit that corn could be worst... Or not. A: Pale yellow color. Big white head which does not least and does not leave much lacings S: It does not smells beer. It smells strange, something like a rice bark juice or something similar... T: Not good but, could be worst (if itís an advantage). It tastes malt and rice. It lacks hops nevertheless M: Very light body. Medium carbonation D: Well... Please avoid it. Tsingtao. Naga London. Straw small head. Low carbonation. Butterscotch. White bread. Faint herbal notes. Sweet light mouthfeel. Dry to crisp. Not my cup of tea.

Pours clear gold with fast, light head. Carbonation so that its kind of fizzy, light taste of hops, citrus, cereals. Ok beer but very light, so doesnít really stick in memory much.

330ml bottle from LCBO, Parkway Mall, Scarborough, ON. 4.5% alc. / vol. Pours a clear straw colour with a small white head. Aroma is skunky, reminds me of low level Eastern European pilsners.

To be honest Iím not much of a pilsner drinker. This one seems decent as far as pilsner is concerned. Still wonít recommend this beer but if itís your only option on the menu that would do.
