Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Pours a clear light yellow with white head. Skunk at first, then cereal grains on the nose; follows onto the palate.

Bottle from a restaurant in rome. Yellow beer with white halo. Grassy and mild aroma. Taste is same sweet and slightly dry, metallic and watery. Prickly carb, thin body. Not great.

Bottle. Pours clear gold with bright white head. Spicy, grassy, sweaty aroma. Taste is minimal malt, old flannel, low sweetness & flavour, finishes dry. Pretty bad.

An easy to drink Chinese lager beer. A bit boring and tasteless but good as a thirst quencher.

Colour yellow with white head gone quickly, weak aroma, taste of grains, floral, light body, average carbonation, poor character, quite refreshing though.

Schnabelhund (68) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 11, 2014
Pours clear golden, the head dissipates far too quickly. The nose is a compound of grainy and floral notes with a hint of ripe apple; rather simple but no fault is to be found in it. Not too bad, actually. On the palate, it has significantly less to offer. There is a distinct lack of any flavor from front to mid-palate; only a faint hint of the floral note and the taste of steamed rice stay with the alcohol afterglow in the finish, followed by light acidity. The carbonation is a tad too soft, but the mouthfeel overall isn’t anything offensive at all. This beer has no depth, but will do in a pinch.

0,33 bottle with red label and 4.7% vol. Very pale colour, like lemon juice, almost no head. Aroma is crisp, with weak herbal hops. Light bitterness, maybe a bit sour. Watery, soft carbonation. Not bad, but nothing interesting in it.

Called the local chinese restaurant for food and this bottle came as a gift. No taste, no flavour, nothing else to do but pour a healthy dose of Picon bičre into it...

Ragnampiza (372) - Rome / Lecce, ITALY - JUL 9, 2014
640 ml bottle. Very pale yellow, completely clear, with a tiny frothy white head which went away immediately leaving no lacing. On the nose grain, corn, rice, wet cardboard. Very hard to expand on the taste. Just grainy, vegetable-like, extremely sweet and cloying. No malt or hop bitterness whatsoever. Papery and dusty aftertaste. Average carbonation, light to medium body, slightly creamy texture. Easily forgettable.
