COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

12oz bottle. Gold with a small, dissipating head. Lightly skunky, grassy aroma. Pale malt flavors with light hop flavor and bitterness. Dry fiinish. Light bodied. If the bottle had been kept out of the light, this would be a pretty smooth pale lager. Decent enough for what it is.

Bottle. Pours a typical lager golden yellow, soapy white head. Aroma is very vague hops, touch of malt. Flavor is slightly sweet malt, hops in the background. Thin body, very slight bitterness.

Bottlebottle green, 330 ml
Appearance: This is it beer in fact? The previous Chinese beers I’ve had, had some head at least, aren’t so hazy and so flat in carbonation, this one seems to be the most popular but I start to think when I look at it if it really isn’t a beer of the worst quality. It is totally the same beer but in fact it different in their name as the same sensation can be applied to other poor Chinese beers.
Aroma: Some accidity plus cane sugar, very weak and poor, no hops, no malt, almost non existant, it is a waste of time to drink it.
Flavour: Very similar to water, a total industrail swill, very cane and total failure denoting only totally watered down adjuncts like cron and rice. Horrible nasty, poor aftertaste of cane sugar mixed with barley carbonated industrial water.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is weak, this beer really drives me creazy.

Pours a pale yellow with white head. This beer tastes awful, but the aroma is even worse. I don’t know what it is (rotten vegetables?) but it’s strong and potent. It reminds me of when you try beer for for the first time and you’re all like "eeewww, gross beer!" before you discover that there actually is god beer out there.

Not bad; a hint of a bitter aftertaste but it quickly disappears. An easy drinker.

Very pale body and lifeless head. Drinkable, but smells very skunky, some butter and hop taste. Think Corona for sure.

Bottle. Pours gold with a small fizzy head. Smells of grain and small malts. Tastes of very light grain or malt, and a very light spicey hops. Although its very light on smell and taste, its very good and worth trying. Nice stuff.
