COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Light straw colour with no head. Little nose but sulphur present. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Light taste. Ok but not favourite lager.

This is my first Asian beer. Straw, clear. No foam. The aroma is dominated by notes of rice and daisies. At the beginning much sweetness. Bitterness small but stucks long in the mounth.

Couleur jaune claire, petite mousse blanche. Nez très leger malté. Gout pareil malté et aqueux. Rien d’exceptionel.

It pours great, and looks great with a nice head, leaves a decent lacing in the glass too. Has some hop aroma, and a hint of some of that lager familiar roughness, and there is also an lingering mouth taste, but this sets no benchmarks or level to achieve for competitors other than that is’s dead easy to drink, and drink a lot of I imagine, non confrontational, low engagement, not a lot to like, and not a lot to make you not like it if its offered other than it’s all rather a bit ’meh’

very light yellow, poor head, no bitterness. maybe it’s not as bad when treat it like a different drink, but as a beer it’s not a good representant ;)

640ml bottle, 4.7%. Pale gold gold, dissipating white head. The aroma is vague light malt, lightly grassy. The flavour is light malt, some sweetnes. Dry. A good replacement for water (but remarkably similar) at this particular Chinese restaurant.

Bottle. Aromaty słodowe, ryżowe, poprawne. Bardzo jasne, słomkowe widać że z ryżem. W smaku bardzo lekkie, ryżowe.

Yellow golden clear body, white head, quickly to fall. Aromas of grains and adjuncts. Pretty much the same taste, nice sweetness. Light body with medium carbonation.

China’s best known beer, a classic Asian lager with rice, which reveals itself as a sweetish graininess with sourish hint and adds a certain complexity; otherwise a bland pale lager, of course, but I can appreciate its soft and aromatic character.
