Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Nearly clear golden. Fairly dry. Light bitterness. No body. This is probably a fine premium lager, but I really hate this style.

Meh...not worth writing. But! Pale yellow, wuickly disappearing head, faint aroma of rice and corn. Balanced in taste, dry, subtle taste, very thin.

A can, regrettably, from the basement of Shing Kong Mitsukoshi, opposite Taipei main station, drunk at home. Aroma: barely identifiable, but not unpleasant. Appearance: the same as Jin Pai, nothing surprising here. Palate: well-carbonated, the slightest suggestion of bitterness betrays the brewery’s German origins. Taste: more bitter than Jin Pai, but overall disappointing, skunky. I positively disliked this. I have happy memories of quaffing Qing Dao from the big old green bottles with the pleasantly retro label, which I don’t see around town any more. What happened?

Aromat: z butelki mokry karton na pierwszym planie, do tego dziwna słodowość i delikatny skun po przelaniu dochodzą śladowe nuty warzywne (marchew, pietruszka) i lekki alkohol Wygląd: barwa słomkowa, klarowne, piana biała, grubopęcherzykowa, błyskawicznie opada, nie zostawiając po sobie niczego Smak: lekka słodycz, czysto słodowy i pusty, wodnisty, wady o dziwo gdzieś poznikały (pod koniec robi się lekko kartonowe), minimalna goryczka Podniebienie: nagazowanie wysokie w kierunku średniego, puste, pijalność taka sobie

Wodnisty nijaki lager, z paskudnym aromatem i smakiem gotowanej kukurydzy (sweet corn). Wada powoduje że piwo jest słabo pijalne i męczące.

Clear yellow with quickly vanishing white head. Aroma is noble hops, some corn, and sweet grains. Taste is a really very fresh sourness, less harsh hop bitterness. Fresh sparkling mouthfeel, easily drinkable, however some awkward sweet grains in the finish. Well it is not great and I only bought it for ticking off China, but I really enjoyed the fresh character.

33cl bottle at home. Appearance: pale golden with medium, fast decreasing white head that forms a rim on the surface of the glass. Aroma: just malts and something soapy. Taste: fairly sweet and low bitterness. sweet malts, little grassy and a trace of apple. Palate: light bodied, thin texture and soft carbonation. In both taste and mouthfeel quite weak, but nice on a hot day.

Una cerveza suave con buen paladar. Nada fuera de lo común pero es buena cerveza.
