Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesnít match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Bottle at a Chinese Food place. Poured into a frozen mug. Oh joy. Frothy white head and a very yellow, clear pour. Aroma was mostly nothing. A little funk smell was all. Taste was extremely watery with hints of bitter hops and an almost sour aftertaste. Blah. I couldnít even finish it.

Incredibly light colored & clear beer with a head that completely disappears almost immediately. Faint grain & skunk on the nose but with a very refreshing, almost Heineken like taste. Not bad at all.

Easy drinkeable beer, simple pilsener. Not as bad as expected, but nothing interesting in this one.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2015 500ml can. Usual comercial smell, something chemical in it. Yellow color with too much bubbles, not natural at all. Sweet taste. At the begining is not that bad, but after sometime in mouth is bad, believe me. Is there any sense in using rice in this beer at all? EDIT: After two hours after drinking this I still have the taste in my mouth and is disgusting. AVOID.

Slightly better than water. The slight fluorescent green tint to the pale yellow is disconcerting. Makes me crave beechwood aging.

Bottle: clear pale lager. Not much flavor but not offensive to the taste buds like Budweiser, Miller or Coors. Slight grapey aftertaste. Happy Chines New Year!!

Bottle from Charlie Chan, Cambridge. Light to mid-yellow with a reasonable white head. Malty grassy aroma, not much to it. Refreshing bittersweet taste, but again not particularly engaging or memorable. Itís just sort of... there. Good enough with food, and I had three bottles so canít be that bad. But itís just another pointless lager at the end of the day.

Aromat chmielowo chlebowy z lekką metalicznością. Barwa jasnozłota, klarowne. Piana drobna, ale króciutka. W smaku wodniste, słodowe i raczej puste. Niska goryczka.

Butelka 0,3 l. Aromat słodowy, zielonobutelkowy :-). Piana biała, nietrwała, znikająca szybko do kompletnego zera. Smak słodowy. Średnie nasycenie. Nikła goryczka.
