COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

A nice green bottle skunk aroma. Appearance is pee-pee yellow. Oh I dread this one.....A funny hay and adjunct flavor. Skunk-o-rama. Piss poor beer even for a lager. I'd rather have an American Standard in a can. This sucks!

From a bottle poured clear golden color with a small head. Decent flavor, kind of watery with no real finish.

dchmela (2218) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 18, 2008
Pours clear with a slight amber color and a very white foamy head. Malty grassy aroma. Taste is clean and crisp with some malty hints. Not my favorite, but not terrible.

HonkeyBra (2214) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - FEB 7, 2009
Pee colored pour, almost no head. Corny, apple juice aroma. Flavor is shockingly not skunky, grainy and corny though with some light grassy hops. Chinese Bud.

Bottle. Pale look. Not as good as I expected it would have been. Bitter, and a dry finish. Probably would have been better if it had been consumed with food.

mcberko (2191) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 14, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2010 Pours a light yellow. Flavour is mildly hoppy, with citrus and yeast. Standard, unimaginative pale lager.

Beerdedone (2180) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2006
UPDATED: APR 27, 2006 Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, skunk, and citrus. Flavor is macro-like thin, corn, grain, and weak.

whaleman (2175) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2003
Pale-yellow, fast-fading pure white head, and moderate carbonation. Initial smell was of that green-bottle skunk cloud that escapes immediately upon opening, like an evil, stinky, Chinese spirit in this case. After the spirit diffused, the aroma was of wheat, yeast, and some grassy hops. Flavor is rather bland... like straw and raw corn and the finish has a stale bitterness to it. A passable beer with Chinese food (or in celebration of Chinese New Year), otherwise this beer is pointless to drink.
