COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Golden with an aroma, that has notes of straw and malt. The flavour is non-offending, slightly sweet with notes of malt and a light hoppy bitterness. 2128

Only slight fruity aroma. Apple and orange in the taste. Just a bit sour and a bit sharp. No noticeable finish.

Pinball (7771) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2008
bottle, label does not match the picture at all, but the imported beer claimed to be a tsingtao beer acc. to my notes. i probably spelled tsingtao wrong, as no tsingtao beer exists.. sampled at a chinese restaurant in alcudia spain. aroma-mainly hoppy, sweet notes behind that. appearance-yellow , thick white head. flavor-not very strong flavor. sweet faint hops, sawdusty sweet notes. even though very weak, it is nicely balanced.

Cheap yellow gold color with a white head and little to no lacing. Cereal grains in aroma and taste. Slight grassy hops. Weak palate. Not offensive...just a mild summery brew.

Bottle, ABV 4,5%: Colour is light golden. NOt much head. Has a hoppy aroma. Flavour is hoppy and a bit sweet. Dosn’t have much bitterness for a pilsener. Very refreshing.

Green bottle, long journey, ’nuff said! Ok, ok. Pale yellow lager with a small, fizzy, white head. A touch lightstruck, therefore, the aroma is a bit skunked. The flavor isn’t unpleasant, but has strong notes of corn. Short, crisp, clean finish. Goes decently with raw fish, but probably wouldn’t stand up well on its own.

Bottle. Standard beer experience, just a little sweeter. Creamy white good mostly deminishing head. A little citrusnote in aro,ma. Short finish.

(bottle) Clear yellow/straw colour with a medium frothy white head. Weak malty aroma, slightly skunky. Sweetish flavour, medium body, somewhat crispy mouthfeel. Starts a bit sweetmalty turning into a low and short hoppy, slightly perfumed finish. This one is not that bad and I can imagine to have it with tasty/spicy (southern) chinese food, but I would prefer a sweet Riesling wine with a well-balanced sweetness-acidity proportion from Germany or Austria….and believe me or not: my best friend I had in the Kindergarten near Frankfurt/Main (greetings to Udo Krick !) is one of the grandsons of the founder of the brewery during Germanys former colonial times.
