COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

This beer was good. Nothing really stuck out to me about it. Its one of the few beers that i’ve had from that side of the world and it among the best of them.

Bottle @ Yang Tse Kiang Restaurant, Bergen. Pours a pale lager body with a thin white head. Nose is sweet pale malts and corn, rice and grains. Taste is sweet and slightly grainy. Smooth, and rather drinkable, but oh so dull.

Absolute garbage. The aroma was skunk and corn. The color was piss and the taste of any ingredient was non-existant.

What did I just run over. This takes the cake when it comes to skunky smell. Wow. Head was small and flavour was stinky and rather bland. Quite fizzy with an unpleasant finish. With all the people in China, there must be better beers. Bring them and I will sip away.

Bottle: Had this one many times before. White airy head on top of a clear light yellow beer. Smell malts, grains and some hops. Taste malts, hops, grains, light sweet and a bit crispy. Watery texture. Low body, low carbo and soft watery mouthfeel.

In bottle. Pours a blonde colour with a thin white head. Aroma of bready yeast, caramel and barley. Very light with mild bitterness. Thin with similar flavours. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle. Inoffensive.
