COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Bottle. For the price of this beer I don’t think it’s worth it. No defining aroma. Decent appearance with a decent head. Flavor is’nt bad but not great. The good thing about this beer is that it goes well with chinese food.

A plain, watery beer, good with hot chinese food, but I’d rather have an MGD with my Chinese food. I think the Chinese will advance in brewing, and this beer will be left behind.

330 ML bottle in Germany, Beer was beeter than expected. Light golden color with laced head. Aroma was very nice and fruity. Taste was the same. Palate was disapointing and very short. Beer has a very watery palate and teaste after the initial burst of fruit.

Pours a nice golden color there is nothing spectacular about this beer but it is a solid easy drinking beer ... if it was american it would hang with yuengling bud miller coors on the shelf a safe one

The new fancy looking bottle makes this appear better but it’s not. The agressive pour still didn’t produce a cap that lasted more than 10 seconds. Nothing now. Pretty weak gold for colour but it is very clear. The aroma is mainly grains. Nothing offensive here as the smell seems fairly clean but it needs more and is just plain. Taste is pretty grainy with some nice bitterness on the finish but watery overall. Mouthfeel is decent with a foamy swish. Light bodied. Short lived mild bitter aftertaste. Reliable but boring.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin short lived head over a yellow (SRM 4) body.....nose of light malts with a bit of corn.....tastes of light slightly sweet malt to start, finishing with very light hop bitterness....mouth feel light and slightly watery, carbonation medium to high. A very light beer even for the Premium Lager style, perhaps this should be called a Pale Lager.

i have never noticed a bad aroma around this beer. this is a very good beer when pared with certain foods. it has a pleasant fruit taste and is clean and refreshing. it even has a bit of body to it. you could drink this by itself... on a hot day. moderate bubbles. not bad at all. bit of a hidden bite on the tip of the tongue.

drank from the bottle: Tastes pretty much like Heineken, though perhaps a bit smoother. You can taste the rice lager. But still its an easy drink and its still beer. I got it in a trade for some of my cheap homebrew, so I can’t complain.
