COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a pale gold (clear) with a little white head. My first Chinese beer, the aroma is mostly of grain, some malts hints. Taste is a bit watery but never the less refreshing, it is mostly yeast and bits of malts not too bitter. Not bad.

Skunky beer. Why drink this beer when you got so many AAL that are more trustworthy. This beer has nothing to offer. You’re better off drinking a variety of better AAL from reputable companies with higher standards.

Bottle. Yellow colour with very small white foam. Weak aromas of lemon and malts. Taste is metallic and to the sweet side, some malty and bitter notes. Thin, watery body. Medium carbonation.

Straightforward. Put one in the air and it’s light in color. Host this in the best way

tfontana (62) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - APR 27, 2015
Bottle. Aroma is of skunk. Appearance is clear pale yellow with tiny white coating (wouldn’t even call it a head). Taste is minimal--hard to tell what it is because it was skunky. Palate was light bodied with burst of lively carbonation at the tip of the tongue with abrupt finish. Overall, a novelty to have at an Asian restaurant, really cold.

Poured from 12 ounce bottle at China City Buffett on Harrison Avenue in Dent. Pale yellow color, sweet aroma, thin body, mostly light sweet taste with a little more heft in the finish, backround flavor tastes like an adjunct I can’t quite place. Better than when I tried it during my student days. It tasted like an odd beer/vegetable soup mixture then. The current version is better than I expected and a cut above the usual macro suspects but nothing I would order at a place with a better selection than China City Buffett has.

Pale golden. White head. Aromas of rice and lemon. Lots of CO2. Light, watery, tasteless. Abrupt finish, barely bitter.

Hmmm, its not a really bad lager, but it has a weird aftertaste ... A bit metal like.

Average golden colour, white tiny head, without aroma, average pilsner taste with notes of rye?, watery finish, medium carbonation. This is Premium?
