COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

NOTE: Under this entry, rate ONLY exported Tsingtao that roughly matches the ABV and local Tsingtao that matches it completely. If it differs in any way and doesn’t match the other entries under the brewer, please send in a bug report with the alcohol percentage, degrees plato (important!), the GTIN and preferably a link to a picture of both the front and the back label so that we can set up an entry.

Bottle tasted it at many restaurants. Not that great taste a little watery no aftertaste.

Pours no head with a white frothy rim over a lager-gold body. Smells of dead grass, dirt, and malty grains. Flavors include more dirt, cardboard, and a strange finish that suggests white rice. Sweet upfront and rice-y body all-around. Medium carbonation/body. A little flat for the style. I’m not a big fan of lagers, but this was OK.

Was the only option I had in a Chinese restaurant once and I actually liked it. Maybe it was because I thought I’d hate it, but it wasn’t bad. I’d certainly get it again, but not something I’d go looking for. I’ve hear of it being skunky.

Pours like apple cider from the bottle with a trim white head that quickly dissapates. Smells like a homeless person, yet offers balanced flavors of red apples and yeast in the taste.

Bottle. Pours very pale, with almost no head at all. Some hops in the nose. Dry crisp taste. Nothing special.

Nice colour, thin white head. No retention. Aroma is malty with notes of cardbaord. Flavour is very malty, but not very impressive. It has a good moth feel and carbonation. very crisp and clean. Typical Asian lager. The history of the brewery is probably the best thing about the beer. All in all I think its pretty good. I would rather drink Tsing tao than any Labatt/molson products.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a tasting cup. The color is a clear yellow/orange with a slight wisp of white foamy that disappears quickly. Looks a lot like ginger ale. The smell has a strong rice smell. There is a big of a corn aroma with some slight touches of some pilsner malts. The taste is has slight malt flavor that is surrounded by more rice and corn flavor throughout. There may be a small bitterness that is given at the very end. This beer does not thrill but it does have a smooth feel that seems to slide across the tongue and goes down with little effort.

33cl bottle poured into a lager glass. Sparkling straw with one finger white head. Aroma is skunky hops and, believe it or not, watermellon. Very light flavor, yet quite balanced between malt and hops. Medium carbonation. A bit watery. Not bad though.
