Keg, BeerFest Daisen, Mt Daisen, Tottori, Japan, 23/09/11. Mahogany with a slim tan head. Prickling carb ushering in a spicy, aniseed-heavy roastedness. Chocolate on burnt toast hints. Charcoal afters, hint of dry roasted. Some alcohol and flimsy grain. A grower but so-so, and more schwarz-like than stouty. Slight roasted aroma.
