3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Cloudy orange-amber color, with medium head. Very nice aroma of fruity hops initially, with malt grains and other cereals, and even some honey later. Dry mouthfeel; the flavor is dominated by the cereals, of good quality, and some toffee; strong hopping, that provides some soft resins and not much fruitiness; the final is long.
Quite good indeed.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a clear golden colour with sizable white head that dissipates to a small white covering that laces the glass quite nicely. Aromas are pine, citrus, sweet malt. Flavors are grapefruit, pine, medium bitterness, bit of malty sweetness. Overall a very smooth flavorful beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with a white top that leav s some lace. Aroma is a big burst of citrus, pine needles & grapefruit. Taste is much of the same with a present but very smooth bitterness that balances very well with the malts.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy deep yellow with thin but lingering foam. Aromas are orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, grains. Taste is quite bitter from start to finish. Quite dry. Could use a bit of warmth to balance it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer likely has a little too much age on it, but it’s still a formidable hoppy brew. Clearish copper with a ton of lacing. Lots of pine and citrusy aroma, with some grapefruit and tropical fruits. Nice grapefruit and white grape taste with a pretty strong cascade background. I dig this.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2012 50cl bottle from Redmond’s of Ranelagh. Pours hazy copper/orange with thin white head; light lacing. Aroma is just a beautiful dose of tropical NZ hop goodness: passionfruit, mango, papaya, lychee, blood orange, tangerine, floral notes - it’s all there in abundance alongside a touch of sweetish caramel malt. Taste showcases those beautiful tropical hop flavours alongside a healthy pine resin bitterness, bit of pithy grapefruit too but by no means overpowering. Light caramel backbone is there, but it’s so subtly done that it allows all of those delicate NZ hop notes to really make their mark. Mouthfeel medium/thin, carbonation fairly light. Incredibly refreshing. Pleasant degree of residual pine/citric bitterness in the medium/long aftertaste. As you can probably tell, I absolutely adore NZ hops, but this is honestly delicious. This is hands down the best APA I’ve ever had, hence the high score. I’m distraught that I’ve finished the bottle; going to remortgage and buy a case of these beauties tomorrow.

Pour is gold with a thin white head. Tropical fruit and piney aroma. A nice amount of bitterness up front - balanced by decent sweetness, light malt flavour. Dry finish. Really liked this

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A neat little hopped up brew. Pours a bright copper with a hint of orange coloring. The nose is tropical, hopped up with grapefruit, pine, caramel. A bit sweet overall in the taste with light, sweet caramel malts and tasty fruity hops. Lemon, honey, grains, passion fruit in the middle with a mild hop bitterness on the finish. Overall, not too bad at all. Tasty, sessionable but different.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear gold with a modest but long-lived head and a bitter, herbal hop aroma. Lightly astringent, pleasantly bitter flavour - malt unobtrusive. Herbal, those lovely white wine Nelson Sauvin notes, light pineapple. Decent body & carbonation. Very sessionable - yum!
