I love hops so was easily seduced by this one. Pours dark copper with a huge piney citrus aroma that punches you in the nose straight away.
Good start !! First sip BOOM a mouthful of spicy resiny hop flavours followed by a long sustained bitterness... my kinda beer

500ml bottle split with JK. Clean and strong citrus aroma, cloudy in the glass that never settled, relatively soft carbonation with a kick of bitter hops though not as pronounced as others. My favourite all-round beer at the moment with the most perfect palate I can imagine. Opened this as Ireland kicked off against Australia in the RWC and enjoyed it as Ireland proceeded with their demolition job. This may be a good reason behind the high score for the beer.

Loving this, more multi-dimensional fruit than the following Aotearoa Pale Ale and slightly less bitter, not very malty, but makes up with pine & skunk aromas.

King of citrus this beer is. Tastes so big for its relatively measly 5.7%. I used to think Pilsener was Tuatara’s best, but now I’ve had this APA for the second time, I ’ve changed my mind. This is excellent

My favourite Hoppy beer in NZ at the moment. Crisp, clean and a ton of hop aroma and flavour without the huge bitterness so common in this style(although there is plenty of bitterness in there).

Tap at Cookie. Nice, a bit too bitter though. Aromas of grass, and caramel. Taste is hoppy, with long-lasting bitterness. Palate is creamy, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

A truly excellent indiction of the style, loveley layered hop aroma and complex yet dry malt profile, The best APA I have had the pleasure of

From a 500ml bottle on 3/7/2011. Pours a slightly opaque golden colour with a fine head.Has a a pleasant and quite strong aroma of lychee, citrus and pine hops. The flavours are full on with caramel, orange, grapefruit and honey. As inferred by the label, you get hops in spades, which keep you company long after you downed a sip. The only slightly confusing things is the reference to APA label, as this is much more an American style IPA. And a very good one at that.
