Bottle. Lovely golden appearance with a small head. A bit lively upon opening with a spicy hoppiness and a twist of orange.A truly delectable beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a 500ml bottle on 20/3/2016 (shared with Butz). Pours a slightly cloudy straw with a huge fluffy white head. The nose is primarily Belgian yeast. In the mouth, it’s very sweet, with bready malt, citrus fruit, banana and spice. Has a slightly syrupy texture with moderate carbonation. Very easy drinking and doesn’t really present as 6.5%. A very nice brew.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Fuggle & Golding, Ilkley. Clear gold. Film of bright, white head. Sweet, fruity, bready malts. Banana esters. Hint of grated lemon rind. Taste is bready sweet. Turns fairly bitter. Palate feels a bit chewy and overly thick. A bit claggy. Finishes with those sweet esters, and a lemony, pithy bitter close. Ok.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle from Bottle Bank, Falmouth. Pours clear gold with creamy head. Aroma is vibrant sweet yeast. Taste bears a good strong sweetness with pillowy vanilla / banana notes. Not getting the low scores below. I thought this was quite nice.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
2nd July 2015
Almost clear gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Sweet dried fruits and sweet floralness. Gets a touch sticky sweet. Mild spice and bread. Smooth dry finish. A little stodgy but fine.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg at Bierhaus, Galway. Has that tinned spaghetti in tomato sauce aroma that I love. Thin white head. Fine carbonation. Tastes nice, but not great. Smells better!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg at Jack in the Box, Altrincham. Gold with lots of fluffy white head. Crisp, bready, citrus, white grape. More than a hint of banana yeastiness. Carbonation is a bit high. It’s a decent facsimile of a Belgian ale but doesn’t bring much of its own character to the table.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle version. Bready malt, orange, honey, spice, yeasty finish. Quite boozy, not too impressive for a belgian-inspired ale.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a brilliant gold with a moderate white head that leaves islands of lacing. Light Belgian phenolic aroma. "Sweeter" phenols reminiscent of coriander or pink peppercorns. Honey and light malts finish up the aroma. Flavor is a mix of spicy phenols and sweet malts. Again sweet on the finish and the moderately high carbonation does little to clean it up.
