3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Makes a nice change in taste from the regular ’Anglo’ beers that are ubiquitous in this neck of the woods. Probably a little too strong for those not used to the Belgian styles - but that’s not something I’ll hold against it.

Look, he said in a louder voice, this isn’t all that and a bag of chips, but what is is is a beer that smells like a Belgium beer, looks like one, and drinks like on, a bit of sourness but a background of malts. So what to make of it, It rounds out the Tripel and Dubbel that they have, and might make a great domestic beer of they could get away with the underlying sourness.
I really would go again, except their Dubbel and Trippel are better, a lot.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale clear golden. White head lasts forever. Fruity nose with a lot of bready doughy notes. Medium body. Fruity palate with a bitter finish.

The head is good, body blond. It smells fruity, aromatic, hoppy, malty, yeasty. The taste is fruity, hopparomatic, malty, fruity, bit alcoholic, creamy, intensive, delicious!

Bottle #5 from the Tuatara Mix 6 Pack. Not sure about dates on these as no date info on bottles or pack, but the two yeasty beers in this pack are pooched. No haziness, no dominant yeast character, just bubbly, apply tasting beers. This one survived a little better than the hefe, probably because of the abv, but still nothing exciting. Will have to rerate fresher stuff.

Just woke up. Dammit. Gotta do a light speed review. Smelled okish but note its overly fruity and is missi g the spice. The Belg side exists in a dull state. This has qualities of a belg ale and qualities of a buch of other stuff just tossed in. Sure it works but so what. Lemon orange weak pepper, yeast, meh. Just a mixed up beer. Not a bad beer but one that doesn’t stick to a style well.

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A mature beer with a strong, pleasant, lingering palate. Whisky notes hint at the mid strength of this ale. I enjoy the subtle spicy taste and citrus flavours.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at Palate, Hamilton
Golden with Belgian esters on the nose. Dry and fairly hot with higher alcohols on the nose and mouth. Lively carbonation. Not particularly clever.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear golden yellow with small white head that amounts to a light white cover. Aromas of spice and sweet fruit. Flavours consist of spice, citrus bitterness, some maltiness and a touch of booze.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(330ml bottle) Purchased as part of a mixed Tuatara 6-pack for $22 at Cook Street Liquors. Quick dissipating white frothy head atop a clear amber body. Good yeast a citrus yet there is an odd milkiness throught the palate. Average.
