Love this beer. Easy to down a few, while still giving something back in the way of complexity. A little more body would make me have this all the time. Well done.

Bottle version. Bready malt, orange, honey, spice, yeasty finish. Quite boozy, not too impressive for a belgian-inspired ale.

Keg at Jack in the Box, Altrincham. Gold with lots of fluffy white head. Crisp, bready, citrus, white grape. More than a hint of banana yeastiness. Carbonation is a bit high. It’s a decent facsimile of a Belgian ale but doesn’t bring much of its own character to the table.

Pours a brilliant gold with a moderate white head that leaves islands of lacing. Light Belgian phenolic aroma. "Sweeter" phenols reminiscent of coriander or pink peppercorns. Honey and light malts finish up the aroma. Flavor is a mix of spicy phenols and sweet malts. Again sweet on the finish and the moderately high carbonation does little to clean it up.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear golden, nose is yeasty, banana, taste is bitter, sweet toffee, dry.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aromas are bready, lemon, light white pepper. Saisony really, but nice. Taste is light sweet, touch of honey. Clean finish. Not bad.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2015 Makes a nice change in taste from the regular ’Anglo’ beers that are ubiquitous in this neck of the woods. Probably a little too strong for those not used to the Belgian styles - but that’s not something I’ll hold against it.

Look, he said in a louder voice, this isn’t all that and a bag of chips, but what is is is a beer that smells like a Belgium beer, looks like one, and drinks like on, a bit of sourness but a background of malts. So what to make of it, It rounds out the Tripel and Dubbel that they have, and might make a great domestic beer of they could get away with the underlying sourness. I really would go again, except their Dubbel and Trippel are better, a lot.

Keg at Bierhaus, Galway. Has that tinned spaghetti in tomato sauce aroma that I love. Thin white head. Fine carbonation. Tastes nice, but not great. Smells better!
