4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Super excited to get my hands on this!
The smells hits as soon as I crack the cap, big complex citrus, as you’d expect, but more complex than the vast majority of offerings in this style.
Pours a clear light amber with perfect carbonation and adequate head.
On to the taste, BOOM! Big bitter hop punch balanced by perfect malt back bone. This is a very impressive beer. The best IIPA I’ve had in a long time, blows a lot of the big west coast favourites out the water, Wow!
I want more! hope I can get my hands on some...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg at BD CJ. It pours clear dark orange-amber with a small beige head. The rich, oily, stewed orange, peach, marmalade, toffee and apricot tart. The taste is rich, bitter-sweet, piney, resinous, alcohol boost, wood, peppery spice, grapefruit rind, mild astringency, hop burn, dank skunky hoppage, damp leaves, grassy, toffee, soap with a long, lingering bitter finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Big old hop-bomb. Although I enjoy many aspects of this beer it is pretty rough around the edges. Quite a lot of alcohol & IBU boost though. Alright, but not quite what I had hoped for.

50cl bottle at The Globe, Hong Kong on 07/06/2015. Poured into a snifter glass. Clear orange copper colour with a thick white head. Fantastic aroma of hops , pine and citrus. Heavy on citrus, hops and high on IBU. Great balance; the alcohol is well hidden but still noticeable. An awesome NZ ale.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clear light orange-copper. White thin head with big bubbles. Smells of piney hop, crystal malt, maple syrup, light spice. Tastes of resin piney hop, light lemony soapy frothy finish. Body is medium-to-thick, slick, gently frothy. Resinous. Crisp malt aroma is nice. Big, bitter but still very drinkable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
500ml bottle from Hop Leaf at home. Slightly hazy orange golden pour. Aroma is ripe mango and strong resin hops. Taste follows - big rich tropical fruity and resinous hops. Big booziness and bitterness that lasts. One of the best DIPAs - a standard to which others should be compared. Lasting boozy warmth. Very big but alarmingly drinkable. Definitely get again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden and mostly clear. Aroma is citrus and pine, not heavily fruity, and slightly herbal. Big bitterness and cloyingly sweet. Too much in every regard.

Tap at Craft Beer Rising (London, 19 February 2015)
Shows a cloudy whiskey brown.
The nose shows mostly a lot of sweet malts with some notes of resinous pine and cannabis in the background.
The palate shows very light carbonation, a slight spiciness & heat in the middle, a very good malt back bone and a moderate to high bitterness.
