Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of grapefruit, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours hazy orange with a diminished white head. Mild citrusy hops aroma, vague malt presence. Sweet and citric bitter hops flavoured with a mild caramel malt base. Smooth. Light carbonation. Bitter and fruity finish. Clearly a subdued malt base.

Draught at The Malthouse, Wellington. Clear deep golden. Spicy hay-like hop aroma. There’s plenty of malt sweetness and a clean, solid mouthfeel. Underneath I find some crystal malt flavour, but the hay-like hops still dominates. Long, dusty bitter finish.

Bottle, 5.0%. Slightly spicy hop aroma, some caramel, slightly rough. Hazy grey amber colour. The flavour is less interesting than the aroma. Has a little caramel and perhaps a faint hint of spicy hops, but is a tad boring.

Amber colour. Citrusy and slightly woody aroma. Earthy, light citrust character. Moderate bitterness and a hint of chewiness. Reminds me a bit of Blockhouse IPA from Cape Town.

Very hazy amber brown beer. Tidy cream coloured head. Palate is softish but has a fine prickly carbonation. Creamy malt with a nice touch of caramel. A little raw malt as well. Just a touch of citrus providing some balance before the crisp dry finish. It’s fine but an IPA really should have more hop presence!

11.2oz bottle. Poured a deep gold with a large sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops and cardboard. Thin tastes of floral hops and citrus.

Claims 50 IBUs, but I don’t think so. Golden colour, light spicy UK-style hops. A touch of maltiness but that is quite restrained. Flavour is slightly sweet with some nuttiness. Light caramel finish along with some spicy hops. More of an ESB than an IPA.
