COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at Tuatara we understand that your enthusiasm for hops has mutated into a full-blown obsession. We also know that your king hit of the beloved cone often comes with alcohol levels that can turn an evening into a lifetime. ITI (te reo Maori for “small”) is what you’re looking for. It’s got the New World hop slam you crave from Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade, but with a subdued malt background and a very diplomatic 3.3% alcohol. It’s the ideal session ale for the unreconstructed hophead. After a solid month of “market testing”, aka we released the 1st batch of ITI on tap in May, we have happily concluded that this little gem is good for bottling… so we have!

Much better than their Best Bitter - but a little too watery to compete with some contemporary local low alcohol brews. A nice drop nonetheless.

(Bottle) (Small) This is a revelation. Has plenty of chops for a lower ABV beer. Lots of nice hop bitterness with each mouthful. Easily quaffable. The hop aroma on opening was amazeballs, this didn’t carry to the glass. The hop taste though!! - WOW. Nicely done. As a day beer this wouldn’t be a bad idea, and it’s a world better than a lot of other domestic beers.

From handpull at Albar in Dunedin. Light amber colour with gentle hop fragrance. Tangelo and oranges there but somewhat subdued. The flavour has ovetones of APA without the body or character of its large cousin, Nui. Sessionable, but a little thin.
