3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 330ml bottle on 10/10/2015. Pours a clear dark golden with a small head. The nose features some fruity hops with some metalic notes. Flavour wise, there’s carmel malt, some citrus fruit, and a pretty firm spicy bitterness, again with a slight metallic taste. The texture is thin and the carbonation average. A bit too disjointed to really impress, but still packed with flavour for a little beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours copper with a large head.
Nose shows caramel, some earthy and piny hops.
Flavors include sweet bready malt and earthy hops followed by an aggressive bitterness.
Too much carbonation.

First reaction was that this was thin and lacking body. But it quietly grew into a well rounded brew. Citrus and spice aroma with biscuit body. Really good for a session

BB 21/01/2016. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a few white bubbles for a collar that laced OK. Carbonation extremely low and fine. Aroma softly of Citrus (possibly lemon) and hint of pine. Taste with a citrus/grapefruit bitterness and a hint of pine; a bit rough. Light body. Crisp, rough and dry with a lingering tart bitterness on the finish.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Very unconvincing brew - malt nose and palate - rough/harsh mouthfeel - hard to drink - aftertaste is thick barley - hops swamped - not good.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Clear deep golden. Aroma of slightly stale hops, kinda cat-pissy and leafy, with light fruitiness. Flavor has some sweetish malt, and slightly stale leafy and citric hops, with a bitter finish. Rather light-bodied.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Amber with a white head. Aroma of kumquats, grapefruit, nectarines, pine. Very light bodied. A very little caramel, lots of grapefruit, some pine and pepper. Bitterness is just a bit on the harsh side given the lack of support. OK as a dustcutter but I couldn’t really imagine drinking more than one.

Bottle from Regional Wines (August 2014). Medium amber, bubbly white head, light toasty/toffee malt, citrusy/grassy hops, medium bitterness, low sweetness, light body, thin texture. Good session beer.
