330ml brown bottle. Deep brown in colour, red highlights. Tan head, a few random spots of lace. Nose has dark chocolate and roasted notes, a little sweetness. Taste has roasted and chocolate malt, notes of caramel, dark cherry. Finishes with roasty bitterness and light hops. Medium body with decent carbonation. A nice porter overall.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Rakuten. Served in a pint glass. It pours a dark brown verging on black. Savory, roasty chocolate notes. Light bodied, almost thin but with a smooth palate. The taste is satisfying, dark licorice, soy, roast cocoa beans. A good beer but lighter than I usually like my porters.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle) Clear black with slight tan head. Subtle aroma of toffee with hints f coffee beans. Light body with fairly full carbonation. Quite a sweet and fruity foretaste gives way to dark roast and burnt notes for a clean finish. Not my favorite style, and I think not very true to the original, but that works for me.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sweet roasted caramel aroma, black with thin lasting head. Definite coffee and chocolate flavours with a malty smoothness. I like it a lot!

330 ml brown reptilian bottle, stamped best by July 2014, purchased and consumed in Wellington, NZ.
Pours opaque and near black with a proportionate tan head. Excellent lacing.
Aroma: rich and moderately complex, with a mix of roasted grains and a clear suggestion of chocolate.
Flavor: fine blend of dark malts; no burnt tones; some dark chocolate.
Feel: medium-full body; lively carbonation for style.
O: A solid London style porter.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Good chocolatey aroma. Very dark but thin appearance. Thin watery palate, worst part. Disappointing flavor - bit burnt, bitter, surprisingly tart, but not much there overall.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cola-red with hardly any head. Smells smokey, chocolate and burnt malts and raisin. Very thin and watery, tastes burnt without much flavour, dry sharp finish. Expect more from Tuatara.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is my first legitimate shower beer review. Donít judge. Donít lecture me either, Iím well aware of the majesty of the shower beer, this is just the first time Iím doing a legit review. Poured 1oz in a shooter cup on the bathroom counter to check out colour (dark brown) and cap (tan head, kinda bubbly). this is the last beer for me from the tuatara mix 6. Aroma is dark roast malts, chocolate, and almonds. Taste is full-bodied, smooth, and loaded with toasted malt character. Lingering bitterness, mild chalkiness. Decent.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Brilliant clarity for the darkest of brown it produces, almost black. Head; up then down and waltzís off to nothing at all. Bitter and olfactory piercing, darkest chocolate, burnt raisins, charred red wood and a lot of earthy, topsoil on the nose. Lean and light but at the same time mouthfilling. Heavy spice, smoke, ash and embers linger long. The palate has a touch of dried stone fruit amongst some tidy chocolate malt and burnt bread. Not bad for drinking but un-engaging and I felt I just needed to finish it. Hoped for more! (50cL, BB 11/11/13, The Beer Store Morley)
