Draught at The Malthouse, Wellington. Clear pale yellow. Dry with plenty of grassy hops. It’s light bodied with gentle rounded mouthfeel. There’s notes of lemon and a bitterness that grows and grows. A true north German style pilsener, that only needs to be more crisp to achieve greatness.

Oct 31, 2009 Vibrant gold pour with a large but quickly fading head that leaves lot of lacing.
Lots of grassy saaz in the aroma, with spicy and subtle sweet floral, grape and passionfruit notes.
Classic pilsener taste with light bready and grainy malt. Not much hops flavour, but a full-on metallic bitterness hits you in the face.
Light body, moderately high carbonation - good for the style.

Oct 20, 2009 Draft at Arrow Brewing Company in Arrowtown; guest tap in October 2009. Pours a clear pale gold with a massive white head. Malty aroma with hops, grain, citrus, and wheat. Flavor is also malty and is more of the same. Light bodied, crisp from the active carbonation. Very good for the style.

Oct 11, 2009 Large frothy head hazy gold pour aroma strong hop fruity,citrus lemon grapefruit very smooth nice bitter,has a decent fizz,corn malt like sweetness,finish good hop and malt mix a fair effort by Tuatara.

Aug 24, 2009 Nice, clear, golden body with lasting white head that left lacing down the glass, probably the best feature. Grainy malty taste, a touch on the sweet side, some hops on the nose though not enough same with the taste.

Aug 8, 2009 330ml bottle, pours a light golden colour with a very subtle green tinge, bubbly head, nice grassy resinous hops aroma which develops gold kiwifruit, passion fruit, paw paw, and lemon aromas as the beer warms slightly. Lots of hops bitterness on the palate which lingers in the aftertaste, Overall a very satisfying beer

Apr 22, 2009 This has just replaced Emerson’s Pilsner as my "go to" Pils. It’s certainly far more faithful to the style. The only slight issue is a tropical note to the hopping which seems out of place in a Pilsner. Still a delicious beer though, and one I will be drinking much more of.

Apr 10, 2009 Draught. Pours clear golden with a lively white head. Sweet malt, grass, citrus and spice. It’s very clean and crisp mouthfeel and good carbonation. Another good example of the Pils style in NZ.
