Deep golden colour. Good bitter, earthy hop flavour. After Emersons, probably the best pils in NZ.

just i was thinking i hated nz hops, i tasted them in a beer where they actually worked. amazing aroma of passionfruit and taste of passionfruit seeds. some creeping bitterness. soft and subtle, a few other flavours appear on the periphery - applesauce, mango icecream. a real delight

Pours (from tap) with beautiful head that coverts into great belgium lace. Nothing much on the nose but the flavours are great, ha an interesting nuttiness! It’s crisp and refreshing with a good finishing bitterness that is drying and invites further imbibing. Another great pilsner from an NZ brewery!

This is about the sexiest pilsner being brewed in New Zealand. Creamy head and aftertaste, saaz hops.... forgive me, I’m getting emotional.

Wow - This beer is like the proverbial mountain stream. Fresh. I have had this beer many times but not as Fresh as this one. Not only is it fresh but also has many layers. I am actually quite stunned as I was expecting quite less.
Citrus and berry hop aroma, but also sweet like passion fruit with a hint of Pinot Gris. A very balanced body with clean crisp bitterness and a lingering hop flavour same as the aroma. I would be surprised if the flavour was really coming solely from Czech hops though and suspect that NZ Saaz B and D have been slipped in there at some stage... Still a fine drop!

Nice clear yellow straw colour, big hoppy flavour,, sweet aroma of hops, lovley big bitter taste. One could go on about NZ Saaz hops but this is a tradional pilsner style.

original and well made stuff. the aroma is pure NZ saazy stuff, passiona to the max. good czech style malty, firm malt body without the graininess that you sometimes get with german ones, along with slight munich nuttiness. big flowery hop flavour, passionfruity at first, then getting more peppery and bitter as you swallow. the soft maltiness keeps up with the hops all the way through the finish.
