3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at The Malthouse, Wellington. Deep golden. Mangoish hop aroma. Medium sweet with plenty of aromatic hops and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with solid body and medium bitterness. A nice, aromatic ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted 18/01/2006. 560ml pint, handpumped from keg, at Bar Bodega.
Pours a hazy orange-gold with a creamy white head and a very strong lacing. Sharp orange aroma on the nose, almost like an essential oil, with a softer pithy element coming through later. In the mouth it’s a little disappointing, being a little watery. Strong bitterness through the middle, with more oranges, and hints of apricot. Quite creamy, for it’s light body. Certainly wouldn’t get away with all of this off a normal keg tap, where carbonation would be higher.
