1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Cask. The only reason why this beer is different from ordinary Tuborg Grøn pilsener is the colour. It IS more dark, but it tastes the same, and it smells the same.

golden, watery.. better than most commercial danish pilsner, and definetly the pick over a normal carlsberg hof.. but then again, there are so many things that are.. water maybe?!

Poured darker yellow with a smallish head.
Watery malty aroma with the flavor of malt and light hops.
Has a metalic finish.
Not to bad.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. The colour is yellow with a tint of gold; the white foam is quite compact, but it dissolves quickly.
The smell is medium strong with a bittersweet feel. There are notes of malt, aroma hops (somewhat artificial) and salt.
The carbonation is fresh and not too sharp.
The taste got a distinct taste of white bread and diacetyl, giving it a robust body. There is some sweetness (toffee?) with a burned note. The finishing flavour got a dry touch of dark rye bread. In the aftertaste, I noticed a rather mild bitterness and some sweet malt.
I found this one better than most of the standard Danish pale lagers.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2005 Rerate:
0.5l can. This one bore the old "Panonska Pivovara" sign. It isn’t brewed here anymore (Tuborg Green replaced it). So, how did I get this ? A friend got three cans from his grandmother. They were in her fridge for three years. Anyway, we "bravely" decided to try one of those. And it didn’t deteoriate one bit. It poured a huge white fluffy head that went away fast and left no lacing, very carbonated. Great orange colour. The nose was nice enough, fruit, ozone, slightly dusty & oily, but not too much. The taste was... exactly as I remembered it. Bland and watery. Some slight malty taste and burnt malt aftertaste. No hops detected. The can says that 4 types of malt are used here.... hm. Right. Well, at least it survived the 3 years well enough. Not that bad, but as I said, too bland and too watery.
Hmph, classic. A boring, bland brew with nothing special about it. There are better and cheaper alternatives here. (3/2/3/2/8)

SIL (Standard International Lager) Give me another one, just like the other one. Classic ?. Makes me laugh. Started a trend with all breweries (almost) in Denmark know having a Classic. Worse than Tuborg (!)

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours medium yellow with a thinning head. Sharp acidic notes to the nose. The taste is dreadful - bitter and metallic and musty all at once. I could not finish this beer. Dreadful.

Can - aroma started a bit sour but with more smelling seemed more grass-like. Flavor of fresh grain/grass with a slightly sour aftertaste. Not bad - better than Tuborg "Der durstiger Mann" Autohof beer.
