(Canned) Very pale golden with almost no head. Mild, slightly stuffy, grassy-buttery nose with sweet, corny sugar. Some buttery, lemony hops and corny malt in the flavor. No real hop bite, but quite balanced. Pretty light-bodied with hefty carbonation. Very easily drinkable. Not the worst lager, but maybe not quite "premium" one, either.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Colour is yellow; the head is white and finger thick.
The smell is dry and bitter. There are citric notes and some light sweet malt.
The carbonation is strong and very refreshing; the bubbles are medium sized.
The taste uncomplicated and delicate with dry malt; the bitterness is light with citric notes. The citric is also present in the medium long aftertaste.
This is an extremely drinkable “Danish pilsner”, great for barbeques and hot dogs.

Guess what, they started importing yet another lager to Croatia. So ok, it isn’t really imported, but brewed by Carlsberg Croatia (Panonska Pivovara), but it’s the principle that matters. We don’t need any more beers like this. If they’re really good, ok. But if they’re like this, what’s the point ? To the beer. Fluffy white head, golden color, quite carbonated. Nothing new here. Not much of an aroma, but it’s malty. Bready, maybe hoppy taste with some bad tasting malt lingering persistently in the background. Flat aftertaste. Pointless. Why isn’t it a Pilsner by the way, it clearly says so on the label.

Carlsberg is capable of brewing good beers dispite its being a macro. This isn’t one of those good ones. Dusty lager nose, yellow-gold color, fluffy head. A little citrusy malt, but otherwise not very flavorful and low hop character. Overall poor.

Faint mild malt scent and a pale yellow color. Light malt flavor comes through but this is rather tasteless. Thin swilling beer

My first beer. Original Danish beer for every day. Still a favourite on a hot summers day in good company. Weak watery aroma with a bitter flavour almost hiding a touch of acid. I still love it, possibly because of great memories.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2007 Tap. I drunk it on vacation in Turkey. It was brewed by Turk Tuborg.
30 september 2007: 0,5 l Tuborg Pilsener (German Art) ’T Blijft een redelijk bier. Het is wel apart dat het onder meerdere namen op de markt komt.

Not much of a fan of Carlsberg Lager, I opted for it’s business partner instead. Poured into a Pilsner glass, the noticeably thin body and large bubbles failed to form anything past a white ring. Minimal leafy hop aroma, if you sniff around. Crisp carbonic acid did it’s job in hiding the malt tones and a hoppy beer ensued. Flavours of freshly mowed grass and hop leaves dominated, with all but a bitter short swallow to remind you to never try another macro-brewed International Standard Lager, again!!!

Tasted as part of the World Championships of Beer Tasting Whilst Wearing Novelty T-Shirts. Didn’t impress me overly, in fact I guessed it was Tooheys Red! No skunkiness which is a plus, very thin fleeting malt character but when you find it it’s not bad. Little bit of bitterness and some vegetables. Not much to it.
