COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ABV may vary.

This is not good. Sparkling gold body, with frothy short lived head. Aromas are tin, corn, skunked hops. Taste is bitter mineral, tin, skunky water. This is a sub-par beer from a brewery that prides itself on tradition.

Can. Brewed on licence by Ringnes Brewery. Standard lager. Not much taste. On the thin side.

Bottle. Light gold with a white head. Flavours are corn, toast and some hops spices. Flavours are corn, grain and some butter. Also has some some citrus fruit followed by ever so slightly dry hops. Not as good as the German pilsner version (however un-pilsner like that it).

50cl Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are nutty metallic hops with some sweet malts. Flavours are nutty and bitter, metallic with some staleness. Bitter and a bit rough on the finish. A very unusual pilsner, it reminded me more of an Alt. Not too bad. Interestingly, this is brewed by Hannen who brew an Alt...did they put my beer in the wrong bottle?

Belgo (154) - Køge, DENMARK - AUG 16, 2005
Bottle. Very light golden with a massive head, that disappears almost instantly. Very faint hop notes in the aroma and a bit of toast. Massively carbonated. Bit of maltiness on the palate. Extremely thin mouthfeel. This is an unbelievably boring beer.

Reasonable pilsener, slightly hoppy with the Saaz taste. I wouldn’t sell my sister to obtain one but nonetheless it’s about standard for a lager.

Very bad indeed. You can get drunk if you drink enough of em. Otherwise there´s nothing good about it.

Can sample, TFOB. Gold pour, white head. Skunk aroma and taste. The hops are there just for a second and then it just stops trying. Watery bland, you name it, this was awful.

GregClow (2975) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 6, 2005
Can sample at TFOB 2005. Pale yellow colour. Typical canned Euro-lager aroma - stale malt & a hint of grassy hops with a metallic edge. Watery body. A bit sweet of the top, limp in the middle, and a very slight citric dryness in the finish. Not very good at all.

Pale golden with no head. Weak hoppy nose. Taste is watery with a bit of citrus. Slightly hoppy. A "studenterøl" by all accounts.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Danish version: Very pale golden, pretty much non-existing head. Rather harmonious and balanced, discreet but existing bitterness and a lightly sweet finish. A none-offending beer for the masses. 210799

(Bottle 38 cl) Plastic bottled Danish version. 4/2/4/2/8=2 110300

(Bottle 33 cl) Icelandic version brewed by "Ölgerdin Egill Skallagrímson" in Reykjavik. Pale golden, with a very small, creamy head. A bit of aroma hops in the nose. Rather sweet malt, medium body and a short, dry hoppiness in the finish. Decent brew and certainly not a beer that will offend anyone.
5/2/3/2/8=2,0

(Bottle 33 cl) Swedish version made by Falcon at 4,2% ABV. Golden beer with a nice creamy head. Light and very drinkable, slightly watery. Very standard lager that neither pleases nor offends. 4/2/4/2/8=2 210202
Earlier Rating: 6/1/2005 Total Score: 2.4
(Bottle 33 cl) Nicely golden with a good, strong and more stable head than in the Danish original. And not surprisingly this is more bitter. But aromatic and pleasant. 060100
