COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: sold in the US as Tuborg Premium Lager.

English: Tuborg Guld has always been attractive to lovely girls. As an example can it be said that at Gold-Girl was united with the marketing of Guld Tuborg already in the sixties. A beer with a sharp edge, which is characterized by its golden colour and its powerful taste. Cheers!

Had a bottle at Kafé België last night, after a couple of special beers. It was meant as a refreshing lager but it wasn’t at all. Dry metallic taste, if it wasn’t that late I would’ve immediately gone back to a nice tripel or something like that!

Train from Middelfart to Copenhagen 18/11 2014. Pours clear yellow with white head which subsides pretty quickly. Aroma is grainy and a little sour. Medium carbonation. Quite sweet in the taste. Malty and grainy. Slight notes of alcohol. More interesting than the standard issue Tuborg. But that ain't saying much.

My 650ml bottle was brewed in Nepal at the Gorkha brewery and sold in Kathmandu. Pours a clear dark gold with some thin, white head. Nose has, well, not much, some mild honey notes, some lemon, faint hints of grain, some dried grass, light lemon. Flavor has a bit more toasted corn, some mild grain, a little rusty penny, some lemon, mild soap, mild yeast. Watery finish. What did you expect?

En øl med meget lav karakterstyrke. Dens grafiske stil og øllens farve trækker dog lige bedømmelsen op over 2.

"Tuborg Guld has always been attractive to lovely girls", with a tagline reminiscent of axe body spray I poured a effervascent crystal clear straw body with a quickly dissipating foamy white head. A crisp hay aroma, grassy in a sense of an unkept field rather than the fresh-cut hop based grassy note. A subtle skunkyness on the finish. Light bodied, crisp, seems to sit heavy for such a sessionable style.

Aroma: Very little smell, some light acidity and bitterness.
Appearance: A light golden clear brew, a white or slightly off-white head, good lacing.
Taste: An upfront sweetness, pure sugar, a dash of lemon, rather good bitterness.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a bit coarse.
Overall: A standard euro (pale) lager.
Note: Bottle, at the SAS lounge at ARN. Reviewed 2010-07-25.

Clear golden colour, small white head. Mild aroma. Better than carlsberg before this.

Tasted @ Copenhague Airport. Pale golden color with a minimal and quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is herbal with notes of straw. Flavor is very slightly sweet with notes of hay and straw. Watery final for this plane beer.

I want to rate this beer much higher. It is just your basic strong premium lager, but it has a huge place in my (and a lot of other danes) heart. It is not a bad beer by far. I regularly drink and enjoy it. But it will never be able to compete with craft beers when it comes to flavor and aroma.
