July 2010: Red 50cl can poured into a pint handled glass mug. An off-white/cream coloured head sat on top of a deep golden body. Good lacing appeared as the beer sank in the glass. Next to no aroma, gets my standard 3 score for odourless lagers/pilsners. The taste was malts all the way, hid the alcohol at first, the 7.5% ABV appearing towards the end of the mouthfeel. The malt flavours give this beer a whole lot better depth of body compared to the normal Turk Tuborg Gold. I was expecting a Strong Lager nasty, but this suprised me with its subtlety and taste.

50cl can from a small streetshop in Ismir, Turkey. Golden blond coloured beer with some light carbonation and a rather dence medium but diminishing whitehead. Nothing special. Light sweet grainy and malty hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is light alcoholic but certainly not overwhelming, with a sweet malty and dry grainy touch. Not bad not good. Ok for a malt liquor.

This is labelled "special beer world brand" in a red can from the congo, but close enough I’m sure. Aroma of weak malts and water, has an okay copper body and thin foamy head. Flavour is malts and cloying adjuncts. Palate is that nasty fake-beer aftertaste. It’s a rought beer whose only purpose is to get you wasted, which shouldn’t take too long at 8.1%.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, sweet malt, cardboard. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20111105]

500 ml can picked up in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Pours an almost orange color with no head to speak of. Aroma is sweet malt and medicine. Taste is a rather harsh and unpleasant malt alcohol mix. Palate is harsh as well. Finish is a bit rough as is seems chemicals are in it. I can say that it is drinkable there is just not much plesure in doing so.
