2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2008 Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Clear, copper body, and a minimal off-white head. Grainy nose with caramel and some hops. Grainy and caramel flavor. Too thin body and a short, grainy finish. It’s definately a quaffable beer, but it’s too boring to ring my bells. I guess it was a welcomed return for lots of Danes, and it is certainly better than the regular Tuborg (Grøn), but that’s it. Rating: 4-4-4-2-9-2.3. (070511)
Bottle. It pours a clear, copper body with a diminishing, fingerthick, off-white head. Cute lacings. Malt and caramel in the aroma, some dried fruit too, but overall quite weak. Thin in the mouth, with a pleasant level of carbonation. Not much going on flavorwise either, but caramel, dried fruits, a little roasted touch and some hops are present. Some bitterness too, especially towards the finish. Not bad, just boring and not flavorful enough. (081026)

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours a nice brown amber with a small off white head. Aroma has butter and quite a touch of maltiness. Sweet flavour. Too much carbonation. Flavour has some caramel and a touch of roasted malts. I think it’s a touch overrated.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2007 Re-introduced and re-rated: Dark copper beer with a decent off-white head and very nice lace. Aroma of caramel and grain. Tastes cheap - of caramel and lightly roast grain. Quite dry.
Was my favourite Danish lager - until they took it out of production:-(

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2007 Oh do I sure miss this one! It was the best Danish dark lager. I remember the nice red amber colour, the lightly sweet flavour and the yummy aftertaste that just sat there on the tongue. Was 4.1% for a long time. Then up to 4.3% the few last years of its life..before it was taken down...Why did they kill it?????
Well, it came back on the market for a while. Not as good as it was before. Its more waterish now. Disappointed. My rating is for the old version and not the new.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
may 17. 2008. aroma a bit "rusty" makes you wonder what comes next. Beautiful dark brown/red appearance with a decent head that disappears rather quickly. Flavor quite dissapoinging, i’ve been drinking too much great beer lately. can’t describe the taste really, sort of like a "classic" style danish cheap pilsener. malty. palate watery but not too watery. when it heats up i get some sweet flavors beneath the malt. Suits it well. Definetly one of the better cheap beers.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Beautiful red/brown color and an OK head. The aroma has light notes of malt and caramel. The flavour is light with notes of malt, caramel and a light, somewhat dry bitterness. When I went to highschool MANY years ago, this was MY beer. Meeting it again 35 years later was a disappointment, but it’s OK and just as good, or better, than many of the so called "classic" beers we have here in Denmark. 2072

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2007 Bottle. Creamy white excellent mostly lasting head. Dark redamber colour. Week light malty aroma. Light sweet and more smoked flavor. Light bitter short finish. Watery palate. I wont cry in my sleep if this beer yet again will be terminated.
