It’s got a strange stop, but it doesn’t taste strange. In fact, it tastes very good!

330 ml. bottle @ home. BBF 07/2015. Neon-purple bottle with a grenade cap, this beer is clearly an exercise in marketing above else, the 21st century version of the alcopop. Pale lager flavoured with vodka & citrus, a concept that honestly sounds revolting to me but I neither like vodka or pale lager. Clear darker urine golden, mold-looking head. Sweet quintessential artificial lemonade flavoring nose, 100 % unnatural, soda-like. Taste is fizzy doughy artificial air refresher lemon, urinal cake, light spirit, breath-mint finish, light cheap vodka indeed, spearmint,… Soft carb. & oily body. Okay for what it is, crazily chemical taste-wise.

Une lager, nez sur le pamplemousse , peu de corps , robe légèrement rosée, courte en bouche , pas la meilleure des lagers, on s’éloigne un peu de la bière avec celle ci.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Strong and aromatized lager, so I have very low expectations from this. Frothy and thick, thickly lacing, stable, cream white head supported by a strong, almost ’champenoise’ fizz; colour a clear and deep ’old gold’. Weakish aroma, dominated by Fanta-like artificial lemonade citrus and not much else; some very weak sourish graininess and faint hints of straw, grass, sweat and white bread are detectable but I do not get any wodka. Sugary sweet taste, again the lemonade effect as if you’re drinking some Coca Cola company product, something tomato juice-like as well, fizzy carbonation, smooth and slick mouthfeel, corn and other graininess as well as weak pale malt sweetness, finishing in remaining ascorbic acid overpowered by, indeed, a rather strong flavour of cheap, very chemical wodka, with a weirdly ’chilling’, peppermint-like effect I have not yet encountered in any other beer so far; some wry alcohol is noticeable too and as expected, the initial sugar sweetness remains as well, though less cloying than I had feared. I hate aromatized lagers from flashy bottles but admittedly this is a bit less bad than I thought it would be, there is worse out there.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Weird citrusy aroma, more like lemonade. Taste is very sweet, with some citrus and lots of carbo. No vodka there, but that usually is quite tasteless. Very fresh and drinkable, but more sprite than beer.

This is funny lemonade. Nothing more. People who don't like the taste of beer might like this.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Well, unsurprisingly, I was a "bit" skeptical about this one, after reading "Vodka & citrus" warning. But it turned out quite drinkable. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Lots of citrus in aroma. And not that artificial/metallic, shockingly. Taste is also citrus, didn’t taste any vodka. Tastes like radler with addition of that classic strong lager feel and 6% ABV. Strange combination. Thin bodied, soft carbonated. Sweet lemony finish. Much better than expected.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Shiny new cobalt blue bottle from the SAQ. Pours a clear golden with a medium and eternal white head that leaves superior lacing. Really effervescent. Nose is of lemony soda, not an ounce natural. Some very faint graininess, too, but it could easily go unnoticed. Taste is of an alcoholized soda with a light cereals finish. Lemon and some artificial minty freshness. Body is light, carbonation high and mouthfeel uh, soft drink-y? Overall a fair summer refresher but not quite a "beer" in my book.

33cl blue bottle. Clear golden with a medium white head. Light to medium body with quite some carbonation. Lot of metallic sweetness. Citrus, sugar, lemonade. This really doesn’t tastes like beer.
