Not my favorite style. This has its merits. I couldnt get much aroma out of it. Tasted of light apples, some caramel, and lingering sourness. Nice palette, nothing harsh or over the top in flavors, finishes smoothe.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with minimal head. Very nice estery aroma. Caramel and bananas, both of which come across in the flavor. Well balanced leaning toward the sweet side. Full bodied and delicious. Very nice doppel.

Pours with almost no head at all. Sweet maltiness, raisins, fruits, liqourice. Smooth, but very little carbonation. A little bland overall. Not the best doppelbock I’ve had.

Light caramel malt scents from a dark brown body with red highlights. Very, very creamy mouthfeel. Sweet malt and some diacetyl tastes--probably a little out of date--but not yet ruined. Would like to have a fresh sample to compare.

pours clear dark brown with a avg creamy brown head. Aroma is nice, cookies, grain, toasted malts and carmel, with grape and apple esters. Flavor starts sweet, carmel and toasted malts finishes sweet also with a short, semi-clean finish. Medium bodied, watery and softly carbonated, Really a nice bier, especially for the low price.

Aroma is bready, biscuity malts, sweet fruity alcohol. Taste is again sweet a bit harsh on the carbonation side, but fruity almost yeast taste. Nice beer but im kind of off this sort of beer at the moment.
