Much to my surprise, this is the first Tucher product I am reviewing. Their beers have been available here for quite a while now, so I was thinking I had already reviewed many of them, but I guess not.

The 500 ml. brown bottle was similar in packaging to many other German imports, and the labeling was consistent with other Tucher products, which seems to be another German trait. After uncapping, pouring the beer into a mug revealed a clear reddish brown body with a foamy head of fizzy carbonation. The presentation was clean and typical of the style. The aroma was sweet brown sugar, honey, and Munich caramel malt. The taste was sweet and soothing with dates, raisins, raw sugar, and figs, with a slight bitter herbal hop flavor, and faint smoke. Alcohol warmth was clearly evident, but did not overwhelm. Thick tongue coating mouthfeel was very satisfying, and was followed by a drawn out bitter sweet aftertaste, with a touch of pepper. It was a sipper for sure, but an elegant and restrained one.

Bottle: Dark amber coloured with some reddish sparks, quickly collapsing off-white head; malty and vinous nose, traces of dried plums, traces of alcohol; sweet malty start; taste becoming drier towards the end; light, but distinctive bitter-sweet aftertaste; full-bodied, well rounded, well quaffable.......

Pours dark brown-red with small tan head that fades quickly. Aroma of dark fruits and lots of malt. Very thick on palate. Malty flavor with good light hop balance and a little spiciness. Good beer.

Very dark brown pour with medium, tan head. Aroma of corn flakes, caramel, figs. Tastes caramel malty, with a corn flakey and figgy presence, coupled with some maple syrup at the finish. Very smooth, dense palate. Outstanding!

Not bad at all. Pours a dark brown amber color. Head is small and tan in color. Aroma is kind of sweet and slightly malty. Flavor was nice with a slight fuit flavor and a bit of malt.

Pours a dark brown and red with a light bubbled, light tan head. The aroma is molasses and walnuts with milk chocolate. The tate is warming and earthy with fall leaves, maple and a little cinnamon. The mouthfeel is lively and tingly.

In the bottle at the Huber Haus. Pours brown with an off-white head. Fruity black currant aroma with a flavorful taste of the same. Smooth palate. Sweet mid-point. Crisp finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Poured medium brown with a shade of red accompanied by a thick tan head. The head left good lacing and a ring on the side of the glass. Aroma was highly complex with caramel, grape, cherry, white wine, coffee and chocolate. There was suggestions of champagne and butterscotch in the taste. Alcoholic palate with grape. The fruit and wine get more intense as it goes down. Well done.
