Deep mahogany chestnut with a white, lacy, lasting, head. Dark fruit, roast and caramel fill the nose. Molasses. Full oily creamy body. Tastes of dark fruit with sweet caramel and lots of bitter molasses, and some warming alcohol. Leaves the mouth sweet and filled with flavour.

Brown 50cl bottle abv7.5% pours a deutschhhh beige head, deep red-brown clear body. Few lacings are present. Roasted malts, sweet malts, plums, raisins and creamy apple-tart to the nose. Tastes sweet and distinct roasted malts, prunes, chocolate, duckberries, liquorice, some earthy notes. Slightly flourish feel, good body. Ends through dark malts, notes of liquorice and dark confectionery, warmth of spirits. Overall really tasty, and this recipe could work well also on 6%abv. Goes well along with confectionery, nuts, fireplaces, or just one while watching a late night show. (BBf03.03.14 b@Vinmonopolet Tromsø, tasted@home.)

500ml Flasche.

Bottle. Amber, small and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and bread, light fruitiness and faint alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel - light bread, faint fruitiness. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly sweetish, some caramel and light bread with light alcohol. Bit thin doppelbock with caramel - too much alcohol in the finish considering the body. Lacks character.

Very dark brown with lots of bubbles and a large beige head. The aroma is dark molasses and wheat malt. Medium palate/bite/mouthfeel. Its very smooth for its strength but a bit sweet for my tastes.

DAA; Pours dark brown with a frothy, fast deminishing off-white to tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and caramel with notes of coffe, dried fruit and metal. Taste is medium sweet, light spicy with a lasting warmth. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to avarage.

Bottle 50 cl, BBE 08/2014. Pours clear dark mahogny in color with a creamy tan head. Dark breadyness and dark sweet malty notes in aroma. Quite smooth mouthfeel. Dark fruity sweetness, light vinous notes and dark pumpernickelbready notes in taste. The smoothness and sweetness accompanied with the breadyness is just rightly balanced here. A top notch doppelbock.
