No sign of typical christmas taste like coriander, caramel but Im getting some marzipan-ish notes. Very nice balanced and uncomlicated beer to a very reasonable price.

Bottle from Willow Court Wines, Lichfield. Bright yellow fizzy lager with a bitter malt aroma. Taste is metallic banana malt - odd. Not great.

Bottle. 6.0%. Best before 06.03.13. Pours a clear, pale straw yellow with a white head. Good lacing. Hops, grass and cereal aroma, sweetish. Flavour is more in the same vein. Mildly bitter finish, a bit tart and with a lingering dryness. Malt as it warms, and further warming brings out a grains and an apple note. Slightly oily palate. Overall so-so. 20.03.13.

Pours in golden yellow clear body with white and lacing head. Aromas are , interestingly enough only sweet juice like flavor, plums and some berries. Very pleasant nose. Palate is slick and soft, with medium lively and fizzy carbonation and mouth feel. Taste is sweet malts, and some licorice. Finish medium short with some floral hops sparkling finish. First sips, its don not really taste to good. After few more sips becomes drinkable. Overall drinkable, specially for aroma and texture.

50cl Bottle from Getränke Hoffmann Boxhagener Str. Berlin. Clear deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of rather sweet bready malts, apples and almonds, alcohol, hay. Flavour is sweet, malty, white bread, light fruity, light bitter grassy finish. Light-bodied.

0.5l bottle. This years first Christmas beer in-season. The pour on this one is crystal clear golden, and it has a medium sized heavy lacing just off-white top. Not to Christmasy on the nose. I get basically just sweet corn, some thin watery caramel and perhaps traces of some green apples. More like a regular pale lager. The taste is not particular good either. Boiled veggies with a really sweet and soapy flavor. There is also a not so pleasant metallic and lasting copper aftertaste. No, this is not a particular good Christmas brew. I’m definitely gonna stay clear of this one if I see it again. 29.10.2012

Bottle at home. Has a clear golden straw colour with a white and creamy medium head. Aroma of pale malt, sweet corn, hay and some peary notes. Very faint flavour with notes of hay, sweet corn, pepper and with a strange bitterness in the end. Has a soft and smooth moutfeel, and a light bitterness. A very boring beer that is a catastrophe as a Christmas beer.

Clear golden colour, dissipating white head. Aroma of malts and grass, with some warm fusel oil. Sweet malty flavour. Light carbonation, malty finish.

Bottled, 0.33l. Clear golden color with thin frothy white head and lively tiny bubbles. Aroma of grassy hops, hay, citrus, banana and mild caramel. Taste starts refreshing sour with light alcohol note, then followed by spicy malt and finished with moderate bitterness. Medium body, slick texture and soft carboantion in palate. It was hard to find a beer between smelly glühwein stalls at Christkindl market:)
