Wyraźny, piwny aromat, słodowy. Piana wysoka, gęsta. Piwo przejrzyste, mętnieje dopiero po wlaniu resztki, czewronawy odcień. W smaku wodniste, słodowe. Nic rewelacyjnego.

Bottle sample. Hazy brownish with small beige head. Light sweetish aroma of date honey, carob, notes of caramel and some fruitiness. Sweet flavor of date honey, wheat, a bit spicy and salty with notes of roasted malt. Moderate carbonation, medium-bodied.

Just average. Cloudy, yeast at bottom. I would not buy again, but would drink again if there was nothing better available.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16.9 oz. bottle properly dispensed to a weizen glass at Lunar Brewing Co., rousing a yeasty cloudiness to the brownish amber color, with a persistent head of frothy, tan foam, and clingy spots & patches of lacing. The nose was lightly toasted, smooth malt, a touch of caramel sweetness, subtle banana, and a hint of clove. The taste was similar notes, medium bodied with decent effervescence, a bit of spicy tang, low bitterness, a creamy mouthfeel, and a very smooth and sessionable nature.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Although only 5.3% ABV, I could still taste the alcohol and along with it a metallic taste...Malty, yeasty, somewhat wheaty/cereal flavors. But it wasn’t very smooth and not as refined as the other dunkels/hefeweizens I’ve had.

Bottle from Bierzwerg!
Pours hazelnut brown with soapy off-white head... Smell has yeast, spicy malts and some plum. Starts yeasty, fruity, well paired with dark malts and some dark fruits. Finish has roasted malts, plum and some yeast notes.

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 500ml. Pours clear dark-amber brown, with a very tall, light colored, dense foamy head - very stable and nice lacing. Body is medium to light, with lightly oily mouthfeel and almost flat carbonation. Aroma is gentle: yeast, bread dough, dried fruits, some caramel, getting more obvious as the beer heat. When cold, taste is slightly sour, not lemony, slightly sweet, and lightly bitter, in a very good balance. As it sits, the sour tone is getting slightly too strong and unpleasant, so keep cold. Flavors are light and rounded, with herbal hop flavors, lightly grassy, some dried fruits. Also notes of caramel malt, getting stronger as the beer heat. A nice very balanced, easy too drink, and not aggressive beer for everyday drinking.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: Spicy bread with a little malted chocolate, banana yeast is fairly subdued, but present. Appearance: Hazy, unfiltered dark cola brown body with a foamy tan head that settled into a solid skin. Flavor: Bread and chocolate rule throughout; the trademark banana yeast moves a little more to the fore, leading to a spicy hop finish. Palate: Full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, lightly bitter finish. Overall: A thoroughly pleasing Dunkelweizen, recommended for lovers of the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled several times in Honduras of all places. Quite a refreshing mix of malts on the nose as well as a good taste of malt with a sweet finish. It’s one of those beers the Germans just get right, and a huge relief after too many days of awful central American lagers.
